It's being whispered around Hollywood that Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian have locked horns over a coveted role in an impending remake of a cinematic legend. The 35-year-old music sensation, Taylor, was rumored to be in contention for the leading part in the reboot of "The Bodyguard," a role immortalized by Whitney Houston in the original film. However, recent whispers suggest that Warner Bros. is now entertaining the notion of Kardashian stepping into the protagonist's shoes, citing her resemblance to the character.

In the seminal film, Houston portrayed a renowned singer menaced by a stalker, while Kevin Costner donned the role of her protective bodyguard. The rumored revamp promises a contemporary spin on the narrative, showcasing a young Latina performer grappling with the intricacies of fame in the digital era.

"Everyone presumed Taylor would bag the lead role, originally essayed by Whitney Houston, given that 'The Bodyguard' remake is helmed by Sam Wrench, who also directed the 2023 film chronicling Taylor's Eras Tour. Yet, Warner Bros., the studio behind the remake, has its heart set on Kim," dished a source to Daily Mail. The insider further revealed, "Several meetings have already transpired, and the script has been penned with Kim very much in mind."

When quizzed about the buzz surrounding Swift potentially donning the lead, the source noted, "Kim has been linked to this project all along; Taylor's name cropped up only after news of the remake broke, primarily fueled by Swifties advocating for her to play the part." However, they conceded, "Of course, if Taylor were interested, no one would dare to write her off."

As of now, the film's creators have kept their cards close to their chest and have yet to officially unveil which A-list star they've roped in for their ambitious venture.
