Claire Foy has had to contend with a royal pain that stretched over several years. The 'The Crown' alum recently revealed that she had to give up caffeine years ago, following a strict diet she implemented in response to what she described as a "disgusting" stomach issue.
"I had parasites," she admitted on the 'Table Manners' podcast, as the podcast films over a shared meal. "Gross. I shouldn't have brought that up." But despite her embarrassment, host Jessie Ware was curious and encouraged her to share more.

Claire revealed that she believes she picked up the gastrointestinal hitchhikers in Morocco. "I kept losing weight, and I didn't know what was going on," she explained. "No matter how much I ate, I was so hungry."
"I'd had it for quite a long time," she said, before doctors finally identified the issue. "At least five years. And they travel in pairs, I was told by a doctor."
As for why, despite the "absolutely rank" discovery of the parasites, the 41-year-old gave up caffeine? "I basically had to go on this diet," she explained, "and take all these - because I didn't want to take hardcore antibiotics for it - all this gross stuff, and part of that was giving up caffeine."
And despite once being someone who had "at least 15 cups of tea a day," Claire has kept off caffeine. After all, as any caffeine lover knows, the headaches when one is without it can be brutal. "Once you've given it up," she explained, "it's such a mission to give it up, I was like, 'Well, maybe I'll just give it a go of not.'"
But Claire isn't the only celebrity who sought to be de-wormed: Last year, Heidi Klum shared that she and husband Tom Kaulitz were embarking on a cleanse that allegedly rid their bodies of worms and parasites - something she discovered on Instagram.
"I'm going to deworm and de-parasite for the first time," she told The Wall Street Journal in an interview published in August. "I heard that you're supposed to do this once a year, and I've never done it. So I feel like I'm really behind. I don't know what the heck is going to come out."
As for how this cleanse was supposed to work? "There are pills, they have all of these herbs," she explained. "There's a lot of clove in there. The parasite hates clove. They also hate the seeds from a papaya."
The cleanse was supposed to take months, according to the model. On day 10, she declared in a July 20 Instagram post, "This is yucky."
