Brace yourselves, fashionistas! Miranda Priestly is poised to unleash her icy stares once again in a sequel to the beloved hit, "The Devil Wears Prada." Disney is gearing up for a follow-up to the 2006 smash, starring the formidable Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly, the tyrannical yet influential fashion magazine editor-in-chief of Runway magazine, alongside Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt as her beleaguered assistants, Andrea Sachs and Emily Charlton.

The original film's mastermind, screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, is in negotiations to reprise her role and craft the next thrilling chapter. While the return of the original cast members remains a mystery, the storyline reportedly follows Miranda as she maneuvers her illustrious career amidst the dwindling fortunes of traditional magazine publishing, while clashing with Blunt's character, who has ascended to the heights of a luxury group executive, wielding advertising dollars that Miranda desperately covets.

Based on Lauren Weisberger's captivating 2003 novel chronicling a young woman's harrowing experience working at a fashion magazine (Weisberger herself served as a personal assistant to Anna Wintour, editor of American Vogue), "The Devil Wears Prada" was a global sensation, grossing a whopping $326.7 million worldwide and earning Streep a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy, as well as an Academy Award nomination. The film's costume designer, Patricia Field, was also recognized with an Oscar nod.

Over the years, fans have wondered if "that's all" for Miranda, Andy, and Emily. The trio of actors have kept the film's flame alive in the public's consciousness, most recently reuniting onstage at the February SAG Awards. Hathaway and Blunt also sat down for a nostalgic chat for Variety's "Actors on Actors" series, reminiscing about the film's most iconic moments and sharing anecdotes about working with Streep, who improvised some of Miranda's most biting lines but missed out on much of the on-set fun due to her Method acting approach.

"We just had a blast making that movie," Blunt confessed to Hathaway during their conversation. "None of us knew it would become what it did. I still get quoted from it every week. It's the movie that changed my life."

The news of a "Devil Wears Prada" sequel arrives on the heels of the stage musical version, starring Vanessa Williams as the iconic Miranda Priestly behind her trademark dark sunglasses, kicking off previews ahead of its October opening on London's West End. The production boasts an original score by music legend Elton John, direction and choreography by three-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell, lyrics by singer-songwriter Shaina Taub, and a book by Kate Wetherhead.

Puck broke the news first about the sequel, produced by Oscar winner Wendy Finerman. Disney has declined to comment.
