The arrival of summer wouldn't be complete without a tantalizing love triangle saga. On April 24th, the highly anticipated teaser video for the third season of "The Summer I Turned Pretty" finally premiered, leaving no doubt that the intricate romance entangling Belly Conklin (portrayed by Lola Tung), Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno), and Conrad Fisher (Christopher Briney) will steal the spotlight in the series' climactic chapter.
Indeed, the trailer hints at a pivotal scene lifted from Jenny Han's third book in the trilogy, "We'll Always Have Summer," where Belly and Conrad, quite unexpectedly, encounter each other at the Cousins' beach house during the festive yet frosty Christmas break. They end up spending an unforgettable night together, without disclosing their reunion to Jeremiah, whom Belly begins dating at the conclusion of the second novel.
In the clip, Belly, her face smeared with chocolate from indulging in holiday treats, opens the door of the Cousins' beach house to find her unexpected guest. Conrad, who is gnawing on a candy cane, appears equally astounded to behold his former flame at his doorstep. He pauses momentarily before uttering a simple yet loaded, "Hey."
Yet, this does not detract from Jeremiah's own moment to shine in the trailer. In fact, the video opens with a rapid succession of scenes depicting the youngest Fisher sibling and Belly locked in passionate kisses, dancing in harmony, and cherishing intimate moments in a shimmering pool.
