Madeleine White's eyes have been opened to the true severity of conjunctivitis. After the influencer revealed that she attended the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) in Orlando for her 30th birthday while suffering from the contagious eye infection, she addressed her critics who questioned her decision to attend a massive social event with the condition.

Despite revealing to her five million followers how she would hide the pink tint with makeup as she walked the rave floor with her husband Andrew Fedyk and "100,000 other people," Madeleine took to her secondary account to set the record straight. "Today I learned that conjunctivitis / pink eye is treated very differently in the US than in the UK," she wrote over a video of herself looking shocked on a November 9 TikTok. "Back in the day, I didn't even get a day off school for this..."
The 30-year-old, who rose to fame for her storytime videos and get-ready-with-me vlogs, shared her response on her smaller account while attempting to clear any misconceptions about her decision. "This is my first time hearing that you're expected to stay home with conjunctivitis," she wrote in response to a comment stating, "going out with pink eye is wild." "In the UK, we wash our hands, don't touch our eyes, and continue as normal."
Although she shared in the comments that she knew better than to touch her eyes, she still had to apply her makeup first. As she prepped the rave-ready look, applying neon pink eyeliner and mascara to camouflage the infection, she noted of the products, "I can't give myself pink eye twice, so I'm just going to use it today and then toss it." And as she added some face jewels to top off the look, she shared that they doubled as an accessory and a cover-up for her red, swollen eyes. "I feel like the rhinestones are really helping me out," she quipped, taking in her final look and adding, "I think for having pink eye in both eyes, it's a good effort."
