Sydney Sweeney invites her fans on a captivating journey through her transformation, revealing the intricate process of gaining roughly 30 pounds to embody the life of real-life boxer Christy Martin in her latest film, Christy. The Euphoria star's Instagram Stories on November 10th showcase her on set, wearing a military uniform and a blue oversized T-shirt with jeans, indulging in the dual delights of a pizza pie and a personal order from Chick-Fil-A. Above the snaps, she quips, "Trying hard to keep your calories up, lol."

But her carb-filled diet isn't the only adjustment Sydney made for her role in the film, which premiered on November 7 alongside Ben Foster, Merritt Wever, and Katy M. O'Brian. In a separate Instagram Story, the Anyone But You actress shares a video of herself engaging in "workouts between takes," wearing Christy's signature white-and-red boxing uniform and a curly brown wig. She performs bicep curls with hot pink 8-pound dumbbells, illustrating the grueling fitness regimen she adopted before stepping onto the Christy set.
"I came onboard to play Christy, and I had about three and a half months of training," she told W magazine in an interview published in June. "I started eating. I weight-trained in the morning for an hour, kickboxed midday for about two hours, and then weight-trained again at night for an hour." By the end of her 30-pound transformation, Sydney admits, "I didn't fit in any of my clothes." But she clarifies, "It was amazing. I was so strong, like crazy strong."
