A 50-year-old TikTok sensation, Michelle Wood, has sparked quite a stir with her plastic surgery endeavors, capturing not just her own, but numerous pairs of fascinated eyes. In early June, she embarked on documenting her surgical odyssey, revealing on TikTok her quest for a facelift, forehead lift, lip lift, neck lift, and a subtle chin implant at a renowned clinic in Guadalajara, Mexico, all in pursuit of a "more refreshed" appearance.
"I aspire to look like I've had the best 30-year nap," she quipped in a June 5 video. "I've conquered weight loss of 130 pounds twice in my life, and I believe it's taken quite a toll on my skin, especially my neck."
Post-surgery, and after weeks of meticulous recovery, Michelle stunned the social media sphere with her youthful surgical outcome. One user exclaimed, "This is by far the wildest transformation I've ever witnessed!" Another TikToker remarked, "You bear an uncanny resemblance to a younger Amanda Bynes," while a third marveled, "You're a completely new person! Your transformation is nothing short of astonishing!"
Even Michelle herself found herself unrecognizable post-plastic surgery. "I still can't fathom my own reflection," she shared in a June 22 video. "Perhaps it's because I've never seen myself like this before. Even in my 20s, obesity had always clouded my appearance."
According to the mother of two, the entire aesthetic procedure came with a price tag of 270,000 pesos, equivalent to approximately $14,227 USD. Additionally, Michelle shelled out around $1,000 USD for a 10-day stay at a recovery facility, which encompassed meals, round-the-clock nursing care, and transportation to and from her follow-up appointments.
"All in all, I'd say I've spent roughly $15,000—a very reasonable sum," she said in a June 23 video.
Despite still battling some facial swelling, Michelle is over the moon with her transformation. "I've always had hooded eyes, but now, for the first time, I can actually see an eyelid!" she joked in another TikTok posted on the same day. "Who knew I had one? I even have a lip now!"
Michelle added thoughtfully, "I don't resemble my younger self, but that's not necessarily a drawback."
