Tom Holland has officially wrapped up filming for his fourth Spider-Man adventure, as confirmed by director Destin Daniel Cretton on Saturday. In an Instagram post, Cretton shared behind-the-scenes snaps from the set of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," describing it as "the grandest, most fulfilling film" he's ever worked on.
"To our extraordinary cast, for infusing so much life into these beloved characters and touching us every day," he wrote in a heartfelt note. "To our incredible crew, who worked tirelessly with unparalleled creativity and craftsmanship, who had me in stitches with their humor until my stomach ached."
After a touching tribute to his family and the entire team, Cretton reserved special praise for Holland, 29, for his unwavering work ethic and commitment to the role. "And of course, to @tomholland2013, for your kind, generous leadership both on and off screen, for your relentless work ethic, your fearless performances, and for your friendship," he captioned a photo of himself and Holland adorned in flower garlands around his neck, alongside another photo featuring the film's crew. "That's a wrap on Spider-Man: Brand New Day!" he exclaimed, hinting at the end of filming.
Production on "Brand New Day" commenced in August, with scenes shot in Glasgow, Scotland. Filming briefly paused in September after Holland sustained a mild concussion during a stunt, but he swiftly returned to the set in early October.
This film marks Holland's first solo Spider-Man movie since 2021's "Spider-Man: No Way Home," and he stars alongside his real-life fiancée Zendaya once again. "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is slated to hit theaters on July 31, just weeks after Holland and Zendaya's other highly anticipated film, "The Odyssey," which opens on July 17.
