Interestingly, there appears to be an unspoken, ongoing cold war between Swift and Nicole. The pop icon took a subtle swipe at her fiancé Travis Kelce's ex on her song "Opalite." Shortly after, Nicole appeared to have thrown shade at Kelce and his fiancée in a new Halloween avatar. The ex-sports reporter performed to Toni Braxton's iconic 2000 hit song, "He Wasn't Man Enough," which the song title and lyrics appeared to allude to Kelce and Swift. Fans on the internet were convinced it was a swipe at her ex and his current partner, though Nicole did not explicitly mention their names.
As the backlash on the internet grew, the influencer attempted to clarify her stance on her podcast The Pre Game with Kayla Nicole. She explained that she once had a "white best friend" and that her name was Taylor. Once Nicole was hanging out at her friend's place when she heard her friend's mother play "He Wasn't Man Enough."
