Travis Kelce's ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, who used to go by the username iamkaylanicole, has seemingly deactivated her X (formerly Twitter) account amid a backlash from Taylor Swift's ardent fans, who dug up old, problematic posts dating back to the early 2010s. It is noteworthy that Nicole appears to have been engaged in a long-standing, unspoken cold war against Taylor Swift and her fanbase.
The backlash began when a Taylor Swift fan account, swiftiexzquad, shared a compilation of Nicole's past tweets, including alleged racist and homophobic statements from her X account. These posts, which date back to the early 2010s, have gained traction among Swifties on the internet.

Interestingly, there appears to be an unspoken, ongoing cold war between Swift and Nicole. The pop icon took a subtle swipe at her fiancé Travis Kelce's ex on her song "Opalite." Shortly after, Nicole appeared to have thrown shade at Kelce and his fiancée in a new Halloween avatar. The ex-sports reporter performed to Toni Braxton's iconic 2000 hit song, "He Wasn't Man Enough," which the song title and lyrics appeared to allude to Kelce and Swift. Fans on the internet were convinced it was a swipe at her ex and his current partner, though Nicole did not explicitly mention their names.
As the backlash on the internet grew, the influencer attempted to clarify her stance on her podcast The Pre Game with Kayla Nicole. She explained that she once had a "white best friend" and that her name was Taylor. Once Nicole was hanging out at her friend's place when she heard her friend's mother play "He Wasn't Man Enough." Nicole revealed, "It was like an 'ah-hah' moment for me – 'Wow, white people listen to Black people's music as well.'" However, it appears Swift's fans were not convinced by her clarification, as they continued to unearth old, problematic tweets from Nicole's X profile. As of yet, Nicole has not commented on the issue.
