Would You Marry Me – K-drama Episode 10 1

Presently, she discovers Woo-joo in a state of fluster as Sang-hyun's questions rain down upon him. She hails Sang-hyun aside, claiming it's an emergency. It transpires that Jin-gyeong had witnessed Sang-hyun eavesdropping on Me-ri and Pil-nyeon's conversation, and she confides in him that Me-ri and Woo-joo are not married.

However, during her previous visit to the Beaute Palace to drop off the clothes Woo-joo had bought for her, she overheard Sung-woo's conversation with the mayor. She also learned of Sung-woo's hold over Sang-hyun. She strikes a deal with him, promising to keep their secrets as long as he refrains from pursuing Woo-joo and Me-ri.

Later, Sung-woo is disappointed when Sang-hyun informs him that he couldn't find a solution to the mayor's problem. Sung-woo shifts the conversation to the flowers at the event, surprised to see a bouquet sent by David on behalf of Kaltz Hotel. He mentions it immediately, and Pil-nyeon asks her secretary to investigate further.

Meanwhile, Woo-joo comforts Me-ri, assuring her that Jin-gyeong will handle things well with Sang-hyun. As they share a kiss, their moment is interrupted by the arrival of So-ri, who teases Me-ri but ultimately gives her approval of Woo-joo.

At Pil-nyeon's abode, Han-gu arrives with the intent to end her life, having overheard her discussing David with her secretary. He confesses to creating J Consulting, a fictitious company, to siphon funds. As Pil-nyeon reaches for her medication, Han-gu swiftly switches it, eliciting her shock. She soon faints after he reveals the switch.

As he exits, Han-gu stages the scene with the correct bottle and disposes of the other in a bin. When Pil-nyeon arrives at the hospital, her condition has drastically worsened. Despite the doctors' efforts to save her, they fear she may never emerge from her coma.

With Pil-nyeon in a coma, Han-gu embarks on the next phase of his diabolical plan. He initiates a smear campaign, secretly alleging that the chairwoman signed a fraudulent supply contract with the Kaltz hotel. In the office, he plays the part of a concerned party, feigning a desire to save Pil-nyeon and the company's reputation. Woo-joo falls for his act, unaware of Han-gu's sinister role.

Fortunately, Pil-nyeon's secretary reaches out in secret, warning Woo-joo about Han-gu and David. After witnessing the public's turn against Myunsoondang, Me-ri visits Woo-joo in the hospital. She offers him a comforting shoulder and not only uplifts his spirits but also encourages him to save the company for the employees' sake.

Jin-gyeong sees the couple and silently retreats, hurt. She heads to a bar to drown her sorrows and encounters Sang-hyun. She thanks him for accepting her deal, but he warns her that it's not over yet. For some inexplicable reason, Sang-hyun struggles to comprehend why Jin-gyeong wants to protect Woo-joo even after his rejection. Jin-gyeong explains that love works in mysterious ways. The conversation shifts to why Sang-hyun won't leave Beaute. This time, Jin-gyeong encourages him to depart after fulfilling his obligations. She commends his abilities, eliciting a chuckle from him. Guys, she got this man to smile and chuckle! That is a remarkable feat in itself!

At Myunsoondang, the air is thick with uncertainty as whispers of a potential takeover by the investors spread among the employees, casting a shadow of uncertainty over their futures. Meanwhile, Jessica and Henry return to the country, their arrival marking a new chapter in a complex web of intrigue. Han-gu, prepping Jessica for her first negotiation meeting with Myunsoondang, lays out a plan to acquire the company piece by piece, reassuring her that they are a team by showing her the divorce papers he has already signed - a gesture that reminds us of the unfinished business with Mi-yeon.

As the negotiation talks loom, Woo-joo shares his strategy with Me-ri, revealing a shocking revelation: Jessica, whom he believes to be Sylvia, is actually So-ri's boss in America. The trio sends So-ri the picture, and her confirmation sets in motion a chain of events that reveals the true nature of the relationship between Jessica and Han-gu.

Elsewhere, Eung-soo stumbles upon a copy of a signed divorce document in his father's office, a clue that foreshadows the complex web of lies and deceit that unfolds.

The first negotiation meeting brings forth tension as Woo-joo asks for an employment security clause in the contract, a move that Jessica refuses to even consider - part of Woo-joo's plan to test Han-gu's reaction. Han-gu, with his strategic maneuvering, privately scolds Woo-joo for bringing up the clause in front of Jessica.

But Woo-joo's quest for evidence against Han-gu and Jessica is far from smooth sailing. He joins forces with Me-ri and Eung-soo to craft a plan that involves faking Pil-nyeon's recovery and subtly hinting at her awakening from her coma. Han-gu, aware of Woo-joo's machinations, sends Jessica to the hospital to confront Pil-nyeon - a move that lands Jessica in hot water when she is caught trying to kill Pil-nyeon in her nurse's uniform.

While the media clears Pil-nyeon and Myunsoondang's names through Jessica's arrest, Han-gu covers his tracks, ensuring all evidence pointing to him is deleted. He promises Jessica that he will take care of Henry and secure the best lawyers to mitigate her sentence, but only if she keeps her mouth shut. To Woo-joo, he lies about Jessica blackmailing him and even claims uncertainty about Henry being his son.

Woo-joo uses a recording of Han-gu turning his back on Jessica as a bargaining chip, convincing her to help if he promises to protect Henry. Meanwhile, Han-gu figures out Jessica's trump card and ransacks her place, ultimately finding his old phone and a USB hidden in one of Henry's favorite toys. The old phone holds messages proving his involvement in Woo-joo's parents' deaths, while the USB contains recordings of their conversations - including one where they discuss their plan to eliminate Woo-joo's father for uncovering their relationship.

Thinking he is in the clear with the evidence in hand, Han-gu stands to leave when he turns and comes face to face with Woo-joo, who demands the truth about his parents' deaths - setting the stage for a confrontation that will change everything.
