Trevor Noah Hosting Grammys for the 6th Time—But There's a Catch

It's the grand finale for Trevor Noah, as the Daily Show veteran is set to return as the host of the 2026 Grammy Awards on February 1st, marking his sixth and, sadly, final time steering music's grandest night on CBS.

Executive producer Ben Winston expressed his immense excitement in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter on January 13th, saying, "I am beyond thrilled to welcome Trevor Noah back to host the Grammys for his sixth and, sadly, final time. He's been the most phenomenal host of the show. He's so intelligent, so humorous, and a true fan of the artists and music."

Describing Trevor's impact on the ceremony as "truly spectacular," Ben added, "We can't wait to do it together one last time."

When reached by E! News, Trevor's representative declined to comment on the matter.

Although the 41-year-old is preparing to pass the baton after this year's show—where Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar lead the nominations with nine each—he previously shared why hosting the prestigious event felt like the ultimate behind-the-scenes experience.

"I am 1000% a fan, and what I love about the Grammys is that I become a fan of a new artist every single time," he told Billboard in 2022. "What many people don't realize is how much work goes into the performances. Getting every single key right, every lighting cue perfect, choreographing all the moves between the cameras and the artists. You don't truly appreciate it until you get behind the scenes, and I think that's what makes me enjoy the show even more."

However, despite savoring the job, Trevor has also been frank about the "nerve-wracking" nature of the position.

"I don't know what's going to happen," he told Gayle King during an appearance on CBS Mornings in 2024. "That's what I love about the Grammys—it's live, it's happening, it's on the fly."
