Why Harry Jowsey Says He’s Been Blocked by Gigi Hadid on Social Media for Years

Harry Jowsey's digital trail could have served as the basis for a storyline on "Catfish." Indeed, the "Too Hot to Handle" alum reflected on how his connection with a fake Ask.fm account allegedly led to Gigi Hadid blocking him on social media in 2015.

"This is the only secret that I've had in my entire career that I haven't exposed," Harry, 28, explained during the Jan. 12 episode of the "So Alli" podcast, before asking host Alli Simpson, "Do you remember Ask.fm?"

After Simpson's younger sister confirmed that she had used the site but "never went on" it, Harry replied, "I know, but there was an account that was always pretending to be you. Me and that account had a fake thing going on, and I always thought it was you."

The "Perfect Match" star then shared how he responded when Alli, 27, revealed that she didn't have any ties to the troll account at the time.

"I remember being 16 in New Zealand, completely drunk, and you had tweeted, 'That's not me,'" he recalled. "I go and comment on one of your posts, 'Me and Alli are dating. We took each other's virginities.' Your whole family went off on me in the comments and you commented on that same post, 'Be cool, bro.'"

As for how Cody responded to the accusation? Harry noted, "He blocked me." However, the Simpson family weren't the only ones who took offense to his tweet, as Harry revealed that Gigi—who was dating Cody at the time—also blocked him.

"I've been blocked ever since. I've met her and I'm still blocked," he said while laughing. "I've never told anyone that because I was like, 'I wonder if she remembers.'"

This isn't the first time the reality star has faced backlash for stirring up a fake romance. In February 2022, Harry confessed that he felt like a "scumbag" when he fed into rumors that he and Khloe Kardashian were dating.

"It's all fake," he noted on his former "Tap In" podcast that year. "Here's the thing. I wish these rumors were true, but they're not. If that relationship happened, we'd be set for life."

According to Harry, the rumor started when he posted on his Instagram Stories that he was "gonna go surprise someone special" with gifts. He alleged an Instagram account that shares unverified celebrity gossip falsely linked him and the Kardashian star together, and to poke fun at the hearsay, he posted a photo of him holding flowers while sitting in a Bentley.

However, Khloe set the record straight soon after and wrote on Instagram that the rumors were "ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE."
