Victoria Beckham is adamant that the swirling rumors about her family come to an immediate halt. The renowned fashion designer—who is the devoted mother of Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, 26; Romeo Beckham, 22; Cruz Beckham, 20; and Harper Beckham, 14, alongside her husband, David Beckham—shared her profound dismay at seeing her children's names repeatedly splashed across headlines. “Oh my gosh, it’s absolutely dreadful,” she confessed during an interview with Today’s Zanna Roberts Rassi, which aired on October 15. “For David and me, the way we engage with our children is of utmost importance.”
“I’m incredibly proud of each and every one of the kids,” continued Victoria, now 51. “They’re compassionate. They’re diligent.” The former Spice Girl's remarks come amidst months of speculation that her family has been ensnared in a rift with Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, a narrative that has persisted since the couple’s lavish wedding in April 2022.
And while neither David nor Victoria, who exchanged vows in a fairytale ceremony in 1999, have directly confronted the swirling reports of tension, Victoria did make a point to acknowledge all of her children by name at the London premiere of her Netflix docuseries, Victoria Beckham, earlier this month—despite the notable absence of her eldest son. “My children: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, Harper,” she declared at the October 8 event, as reported by People. “And David—oh my God, he’s not a child! I was doing so well without needing cue cards, too!”
As for Brooklyn, he had previously shared that he and Nicola, 30, have become adept at tuning out the relentless chatter. “There’s always going to be people saying negative things, but I have an incredibly supportive wife,” he told the Daily Mail in September. “Me and her, we just focus on what we do, we keep our heads down and work. And we’re content.”
Indeed, Brooklyn went on to emphasize the significance of maintaining a positive outlook. “Everyone is always going to say nonsense,” he continued. “I just try to live my life, play some golf with friends. It’s all good fun.”
