Selena Gomez has a crystal-clear vision of the kind of art her future children will embrace when the time comes. Indeed, after watching *Inside Out 2* with her 13-year-old sister, Gracie Teefey, the star of *Only Murders in the Building* was so taken by the film that she's already eager to revisit it someday. "I just think it’s incredible," Selena, 33, gushed to Amy Poehler—who voices Joy in the movie—on the September 9 episode of the *Good Hang* podcast. "I’m going to make my children watch it someday."

"I watched it with my sister, and I completely sobbed," Selena recounted. "It's just so real. I'm so fascinated by the human mind. It tugged at my heartstrings, and when my sister watched it, she started crying too." Amy, equally enthusiastic, chimed in about her excitement for Selena’s future brood, adding with a laugh, "I know they don’t exist yet, but I can’t wait to meet them."

Reflecting on her future role as a mother, Selena also opened up about how that chapter of her life will shape her approach to generosity toward the public, prompting her to safeguard her "energy." "I think that will become even more pronounced when I have kids," Selena—who is engaged to Benny Blanco—explained on *Good Hang*. "I’ll establish my boundaries for the sake of my sanity. What exactly that will look like? I have no clue yet."

She elaborated, "I feel like I owe so many people in the world a smile, a hug, or a photo. It’s incredibly challenging. Generally speaking, it’s overwhelming because I genuinely enjoy doing it."

Selena has previously shared that she is unable to carry children due to medical reasons. Nonetheless, she and her fiancé Benny remain optimistic about building a family on their own terms. "I don’t know what the future holds, obviously, but I adore children," the singer of "Younger and Hotter Than Me" said in March on the *Jay Shetty* podcast. "I love making them laugh; they're just so sweet. So when that day arrives, I’ll be over the moon."
