Devotees of Sabrina Carpenter may wish to cherish every possible moment from her concerts while the opportunity lasts. Despite being accustomed to gazing out at seas of faces and smartphones alike, the Grammy-honored artist recently confessed to Rolling Stone that she is contemplating embracing the notion of phone-free concerts in the future. "Honestly, this might ruffle some feathers among my fans, but absolutely, I'm open to it," expressed the chanteuse behind the hit "Please Please Please." "I attended Silk Sonic's show in Vegas where they confiscated our phones, and it was hands down the most exhilarating concert experience I've ever had. I was transported back to the Seventies, albeit in a nostalgic sense. The sheer essence of everyone singing, dancing, making eye contact, and bursting into laughter created an enchanting ambiance. It was truly mesmerizing."

While acknowledging that she can't fault her fans for desiring to preserve memories from her performances, the "Manchild" crooner playfully remarked that she wouldn't fancy being zoomed in on when she's eighty years old on stage. "I've come of age in an era where having iPhones at concerts has become alarmingly normal," she added thoughtfully. "However, considering how long my touring journey might span and at what age I find myself then, hey, let's keep those phones tucked away. No zooming in on my visage, please. At present, my skin is soft and radiant. It's in good shape."

Should Carpenter proceed with enforcing a phone ban during her gigs, she would join esteemed company, following in the footsteps of artists such as Bob Dylan, Adele, and Madonna who have previously taken such a stance. Following the release of her album Short n’ Sweet, which propelled her to new heights of fame last year, the singer has recently secured her second number-one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with "Manchild." Moreover, Carpenter is poised to unveil her forthcoming studio album, titled Man’s Best Friend, in August.
