The PBS Masterpiece sensation, "Miss Scarlet and the Duke," which has undergone a significant rebranding to simply "Miss Scarlet," has embarked on a new chapter following the departure of a pivotal character. After four seasons of portraying the charismatic William "The Duke" Wellington, Stuart Martin has made the heartfelt decision to step away from the series. Meanwhile, Kate Phillips, who has breathed life into the enigmatic Miss Scarlet, remains at the helm, continuing to shine brightly.
In a poignant statement, Stuart shared his sentiments, "It has been an immense privilege and unparalleled joy to breathe life into the Duke through Rachael [New]'s exquisite and ingenious storytelling. The past four years have been a thrilling journey, but as the show blossoms and transforms, it felt natural for Scarlet to venture into fresh narratives and daunting challenges. While I will deeply miss collaborating with my remarkable crime-solving partner, Kate, and the rest of our wondrous family and crew, I eagerly anticipate following Eliza's adventures as a devoted fan and a proud new Scarleteer!"
