Ralph Fiennes, the mastermind behind Lord Voldemort's chilling presence in five Harry Potter films, stands ready to bestow the mantle upon the next actor destined to embody the dark wizard. With HBO's impending Harry Potter series in development, the seasoned thespian has offered some whimsical yet practical advice for the fortunate soul who will don the role next. "Master the art of maneuvering in those sweeping, majestic robes, and avoid any awkward tumbles," Fiennes imparted during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, adding with a chuckle, "Perfect your flowing robe stride."

Looking back on his tenure as the notorious antagonist, Fiennes unveiled a lesser-known wardrobe woe from behind the scenes. He recounted how the tights he wore, initially a seamless, one-piece garment with a gusset, had an unfortunate tendency to "descend progressively throughout the day, leading to discomfort." Eventually, he sought a more suitable alternative. "I requested a set of individual tights, akin to a garter belt," he revealed, jesting, "It was amusing to tease the stunt crew by lifting my robes and flashing my garter belt."

Fiennes first materialized as Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 2005, continuing his sinister reign until the series' climactic conclusion in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 in 2011. He also rejoiced with fellow cast members Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson in 2022 for the nostalgic 20th-anniversary Harry Potter reunion special.

Though he has expressed openness to reprising his role as Voldemort in the past, Fiennes has recently endorsed the notion of a fresh face stepping into the shadowy shoes. When quizzed about the possibility of Cillian Murphy portraying the Dark Lord, he deemed it a "splendid proposition."

As of the present moment, HBO has yet to unveil the identity of the actor who will breathe new life into Voldemort in the upcoming series inspired by J.K. Rowling's beloved literary works.
