Sohn hinted that leaving Will Trent wasn't her choice. In her second video, she told fans, "Once you get the pink slip, it's just a job." She expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming response to Amanda's passing in the April 14 episode. "I have been so touched and taken with the response to Amanda's passing," she said in her first video. The actress thanked fans for sending heartfelt messages of support and love to her page.

She acknowledged the limited power actors hold in production decisions. "Actors are really low people on the totem pole when it comes down to the big structure," she stated. "When you get a pink slip, you don't ask about it. You just say goodbye."

The actress hinted at more details behind her exit but chose to hold back for now. "One of the things I was taught through this experience of being Amanda and of being in this situation is that she's a much more thoughtful, reserved character than I am," she explained. Sohn also teased upcoming projects, including a memoir. "You're gonna learn about the first time I almost got written off a show on The Wire," she revealed.

Sohn ended her second post with a direct message to the Will Trent fanbase. "I cannot adequately express the overwhelming gratitude I feel for the fans who have poured their hearts out on my page," she wrote. She promised to honor that support by giving fans something to celebrate in the near future. "The best years are yet to come. There's plenty of Sonja Sohn coming up," she concluded.
