Selena Gomez wielded her magical powers to pay a visit to her dear friend and former Wizards of Waverly Place co-star, Jennifer Stone, just in time for the festive season. The Rare Beauty founder, donning a festive and funky Santa Claus hat, made an appearance that was a cozy embrace of the holiday spirit. In her Instagram Stories on December 22, she shared a sweet photo of the two of them, both wearing matching hats, with the caption, "Love you, Jen." Jennifer, true to their bond, reposted the picture on her own Stories and replied with a heartfelt, "Love you right back."

But their reunion didn't end there. Selena also shared some throwback photos of the duo—who played friends Alex Russo and Harper Finkle in the Disney series—spending quality time together on set. In one shot, the "Calm Down" singer sported curlers in her hair while Jennifer posed in her character's maximalist style. In another, the two laughed heartily as they relaxed between scenes, their camaraderie evident in every frame.
This isn't the first time the close friends have spent time together this year. In fact, Jennifer and her Wizards of Waverly Place castmate David DeLuise were among the many celebrities who attended Selena's wedding to Benny Blanco in September. A month earlier, they had met up to watch a re-run of their iconic show while enjoying lunch together.
While Selena has created many mystical memories with her onscreen tribe, it seems she couldn't cast a spell to save her character in the show's reboot, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. In the second season finale, which premiered on October 8, Alex's fate was left hanging after she was knocked into a dark portal with no way out. But despite the tense cliffhanger, Selena's onscreen brother David Henrie teased that her arc isn't officially over. "Just so you know, Alex Russo is tougher than you think—and there’s a lot more to come," David wrote on X shortly after the finale aired. "You’re asking all the right questions. Stay tuned, #WizardsBeyond has got some magical surprises up our sleeves."
Nonetheless, the "Same Old Love" star—who produced the Disney+ revival alongside David—noted that it's been "really fun" reimagining her character's powers. "It’s honestly been nostalgic for me," she told Deadline in October. "It’s honestly been a wonderful experience. It’s so fun to see us pass the baton to a new generation."
