Four years after the cameras stopped rolling, Yoo Ah In's highly anticipated film "Hi.5" is finally poised to make its grand debut in June. On April 4th, the film's distributor, NEW, revealed, "After careful consideration and much deliberation, we have set our sights on a June release for this cinematic masterpiece."
They further elaborated, "However, due to unforeseen circumstances, such as the ongoing impeachment proceedings of the president, we are unable to pin down an exact premiere date at this moment." Adding to the intricacies, "Regrettably, actor Yoo Ah In will not be taking part in any promotional activities leading up to the film's release."
Initially slated for a 2023 premiere, "Hi.5" faced a two-year delay following Yoo Ah In's positive test results for marijuana, cocaine, and ketamine during a police investigation into the illegal use of propofol.
Starring alongside Yoo Ah In are Lee Jae In, Ahn Jae Hong, Ra Mi Ran, and Kim Hee Won, "Hi.5" weaves a tale of five ordinary individuals who, after undergoing organ transplants, suddenly find themselves endowed with extraordinary abilities. As another faction emerges, intent on stealing their newly acquired superpowers, these five must summon all their courage and strength to defend themselves in a thrilling battle of wits and bravery.
