Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka dance through life alongside their cherished daughter, Harper. On November 17th, Harper joined her dad David for a thrilling night on the red carpet at the New York City premiere of Wicked: For Good. The 15-year-old, flying solo without her twin brother Gideon, exuded maturity in a stunning light green, sequined ankle-length dress paired with heels and a black furry coat for the chilly NYC night. David, on the other hand, looked dapper in black dress pants and a white shirt, completed with an iridescent tuxedo jacket.
Though Harper and Gideon haven't spent much time in the public eye, their dads couldn't help but gush about their twins whenever they had the chance. "I have never been more proud of anything in my entire life, and I suspect I never will," Neil, 52, wrote on Instagram for their birthday last year. "My husband David and I marvel at their maturity, are wowed by their warmth, and chuffed by their charm. We love them both unconditionally, and their hugs fill us with life." He also joked, "We don't say any of this to them, obviously, or they'd recoil or leverage it to their advantage. But since they're not on Instagram, I'm free to speak honestly. They'll never find out."
David, 50, has reflected on the bittersweet experience of watching his children grow up before his eyes. "For me, it's really been about mourning your kids," David shared with E! News in 2022. "I'm in mourning of seeing them grow and seeing them clip their wings and letting them be their own people." The Broadway star added, "It's wild to see the kids they've become. It's amazing and it's also a little sad."
