Zara Larsson recently recounted a vivid memory of an intimate encounter with her pal's boyfriend during a nostalgic session on her podcast, "Call Her Daddy," which aired on Wednesday, April 22. The 28-year-old Swedish singer and songwriter, who admits to being "messy as a teenager," shared that she kissed her best friend's boyfriend at age 16 during a New Year's Eve party.
The "Lush Life" crooner revealed, "I just kissed him back because I was messy like that. And I was 16 and really drunk." She added, "The f***** up thing about this though, was that the girl whose house we had the party at, she filmed this, and I didn't know. So, before I got the chance to tell my friend what happened the next day, she had already received the video."
According to the "Swoon" star, her friend wasn't "interested" nor "in love" with the guy she got intimate with, but she did tell her that what she did was "weird" and an "unforgivable mistake that happened."
"But obviously seeing [the video], she just cut me off, and all my friends just cut me off, and I was just like a floating piece of trash in the universe," she laughed. It is worth mentioning that Zara Larsson, who has been in a relationship with Swedish dancer Lamin Holmén since 2020, confessed that this moment was the inspiration for the original version of the "Midnight Sun" song.
