Absolutely Valued Romance Episode 1 begins with an 18-year-old high school student named Yeo Eui-ju, a romance novelist under the pseudonym Imuk. Eui-ju dreams of being arrested for writing absurd twists in her original BL (boy love) romance story. At school, Eui-ju meets her best friend, Choi Go-ya, and tells her about the four boys and her broken phone. She also shares how she is struggling with her novel. Go-ya gives her advice and asks her to read one of her works. Eui-ju promises to share it once her novel becomes famous on the site.
Meanwhile, an announcement reveals that four new male teachers have joined the school. The girls rush to the staff room to see them. Eui-ju is shocked to realize that the teachers are the same men from her neighborhood.

The episode concludes with Eui-ju returning to the classroom and realizing that Woo-su will indeed be her class teacher.
