In the seventh episode of Absolute Value of Romance, Eui-ju is greeted by a surge of comments on the latest chapter of her novel. Although she is confident that Woo-su will not be following suit, to her surprise, he does. As Woo-su reads through the comments, he realizes that Eui-ju has tricked him by publishing a version of the chapter that he had not approved.

The next morning, Da-ju attempts to persuade Woo-su to participate in the filming of the documentary. Woo-su, however, ignores his pleas, leaving Da-ju, Dong-ju, and Gi-jeon worried and concerned. At school, the principal informs the students about the filming while still trying to convince Woo-su to participate. She asks Da-ju to ensure that Woo-su's Math class is recorded by any means.
Da-ju emotionally blackmails Eui-ju, claiming that the new teachers will lose their jobs if she does not help him. He threatens to expose her "secret," forcing her to secretly film Woo-su during class. Meanwhile, the principal gives her nephew, E-den, coffee laced with a drug to knock him out. She wants to ensure that the filming takes place without his flute-playing interrupting the crew. She also asks Ji-a to leave the classroom and study alone to avoid damaging the school's reputation.
Woo-su stands up to the principal and refuses to let her isolate Ji-a. He threatens to stop the other students in his class from participating in the filming if she continues to isolate Ji-a. As the filming commences, Da-ju once again threatens Eui-ju, forcing her to record Woo-su. In class, Eui-ju asks Woo-su a personal question about his motivation for choosing Murim High School despite being a genius mathematician.
Woo-su begins to talk about his journey as a teacher but notices the camera. He becomes upset when he realizes that Eui-ju is filming him without his consent and storms out of the room. Eui-ju follows him, blaming Da-ju for forcing her to do this. Woo-su confronts Da-ju for betraying his trust and reminds him of a past incident that caused him trauma.
Meanwhile, the principal calls Woo-su to her office for a conversation. At the same time, Gi-jeon tells Eui-ju that Woo-su was kidnapped by a stalker when he was young. This revelation adds a new layer of complexity to the already tumultuous situation, leaving all involved wondering how it will affect Woo-su's future and the outcome of the documentary filming.
He narrates that Woo-su was filmed without his explicit consent while in captivity, leading to a profound trauma surrounding the act of being recorded. Eui-ju begins to experience stomach discomfort but chooses to brush off the symptoms. In the principal's office, she threatens to terminate Dong-ju's employment, a position he desperately needs. Woo-su eventually relents and agrees to participate in the documentary to save Dong-ju's job.
Eui-ju's classmates are displeased with Woo-su for making them stay back for the filming. Once the documentary crew departs, Principal Kim Young-hee feels relieved. E-den awakens, dismayed that he couldn't play his flute for the crew.
Later that night, Eui-ju follows Woo-su and apologizes for filming him without his consent. Woo-su tells her that he is more disappointed that she asked a question in class for the first time only because she was coerced by Da-ju. Eui-ju is stung by his remarks and grows increasingly uncomfortable due to her worsening stomachache. She collapses on the ground, clutching her stomach and drenched in sweat as the episode concludes.
