The seventh episode of "All Her Fault" Season 1 commences with a poignant flashback six years in the past. We are introduced to a pregnant Josephine Murphy, whose heart was filled with dreams for her growing family with Kyle. She turns to her mother's credit card for the little luxuries she could afford before the baby's arrival, each purchase a small gesture of love and hope for a bright future. Her desires were simple: a healthy baby, Kyle by her side, and a life filled with joy and purpose. She was ready to work tirelessly, toiling any job that would bring her closer to her aspirations.

Kyle's descent into drugs and subsequent arrest sent Josephine into a frenzy of despair. Not only was she disappointed that Kyle wouldn't be there for their child, but the heartbreak only intensified when she lost the baby a few months later. In the aftermath of this loss, Josephine was forced to return to her mother, Irene, who never quite understood her daughter's plight. Every attempt at explanation was met with disbelief and disdain, Irene dismissing Josephine's struggles as mere insanity. Upon discovering that Josephine had used her credit card without permission, Irene demanded repayment, her harshness a reflection of her own unyielding emotional state.
Yet, Josephine persevered. She found work and set about paying back the debt, her heart numb from the loss of her child, as if she had already lost a part of herself.
The story then skips ahead five years since the tragic loss. By this time, Josephine has cleared her mother's debt and is working alongside her father, Rob. He agrees to let her tag along as he uses his influence to pressure a client into paying up, their collaboration a testament to the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
In the days that followed, Josephine's understanding of her father's true profession as a loan shark began to dawn on her. Colin, meanwhile, found himself on Rob's radar. On that particular Easter, Rob took Josephine along with him to deliver a message to Colin, effectively shaking him up. Colin was currently at the ranch with the Irvines, and without even meeting him in person, Josephine had already offered to pay off his loan. Part of her was hoping that performing a good deed would rejuvenate her spirit. Rob called her crazy and asked her to wait in the car while he talked to Colin.
While waiting, Josephine decided to take a stroll in the fields and met Milo. An immediate connection formed between them when Milo explained why he named his favorite frog doll Mr. Chips. Milo told her that some words tasted like food in his mouth, and Josephine related to that feeling, taking his doll when he left it behind. After meeting Milo, Josephine began to spy on the Irvines. Her mother grew worried after she started buying children's stuff, and they got into a heated argument. In a moment of rage, Josephine nearly choked her mother to death, and after that incident, Irene kicked Josephine out of the house.
By this time, Josephine was already preparing to adopt her new persona as Carrie. She got a job as a nanny with Jenny and lied that her mother had died from cancer. She used her job as a nanny to get close to Milo through Anna. It was fortunate timing when Jenny grew close to Marissa, as it helped her come up with the perfect plan to kidnap Milo by planning a fake play date.
Before the kidnapping, Josephine visited Kyle in prison. She apologized for not coming before and asked about his plans once he got out. She told him about her job as a nanny, and Kyle worried that it must have been difficult for her after losing their son. This was when Josephine roped him into the kidnapping job. However, Kyle thought she was being delusional. He didn't want to go back to jail or take Milo from his family.
As time passed, Josephine's persuasive words began to sink in, and she unveiled her so-called perfect plan. She convinced Kyle that the cause was justifiable, and Kyle, unwilling to lose her, fell in line. Josephine executed the kidnapping with a deft touch.
For a while, Milo was ecstatic about the vacation and the myriad of games at hand. But as days went by, he started inquiring about his mother and yearning to return home. This was not what Josephine had anticipated, and Kyle tried to reason with her to do the right thing. However, a new hurdle emerged when it came to procuring Milo's passport. At this juncture, Josephine reached out to Rob.
Rob agreed to assist, but secretly he was calculating the dollars he could reap from the Irvines. He played the role of the ransom caller, reaching out to Peter and instructing him to prepare the money. He kept the truth from both Kyle and Josephine.
When Kyle's name became a matter of public record, Rob ushered Josephine and Milo to his motel, planning to meet them later with Kyle after tidying up the rental. Tragically, Rob betrayed Kyle and shot him in the back as he turned his back.
In Rob's motel room, Josephine stumbled upon a gun in his closet. She decided to stash it elsewhere. Meanwhile, Milo fretted about his mother missing his birthday. To soothe his worries, Josephine explained the significance of birthdays.
Later, Rob returned and falsely claimed that Kyle had bolted. He asked Josephine to fetch Milo a birthday cake. As she left, Rob coaxed Milo into hiding in the bathroom as if they were playing a game. He asked Milo to be quiet because he was expecting a visitor.
Shortly after Josephine's departure, Rob returned to the motel to find her father's lifeless body and Milo missing. In her dad's pocket, she discovered Rob's phone with the voice recorder capturing their conversation in the room.
After listening to the recording, Josephine picked up the gun and went for a swim in the ocean. Before diving in, she caught wind of news about Kyle's death, and it hit her like a ton of bricks.
In another flashback, we are taken back to the day she was discharged from the hospital with her son, Noah. The story alternates between the accident and her first encounter with Milo.
Following the accident, Josephine awoke in the hospital, where the nurse repeatedly mentioned that her son had passed away in the crash. Josephine insisted she had her child cry, but they assumed it was a result of trauma and confusion. They kept telling her she was confusing Noah's cry with that of the second baby involved in the accident.
The narrative then leaps to another fleeting moment of the past, this time depicting Josephine's visit to Kyle in prison. As she whispered to Kyle that Milo was their very own Noah, he initially remained skeptical. However, when Kyle finally laid eyes on Milo during the marathon, a subtle connection between the boy and his father became undeniable.
Meanwhile, Josephine, under the guise of Carrie, stealthily enters the Irvines' residence, where the chaos of Colin and Marissa's heated debate serves as a distraction. Unnoticed by all, she makes her way into the living room with a quiet determination.
Just as the tension reaches its peak, Alcaras reaches out to Peter, inquiring if he is acquainted with a woman named Josephine Murphy. At that precise moment, Carrie, under her real identity, pulls out her gun. Brian and Colin, caught in the midst of this unexpected turn of events, begin to panic as they realize her true identity.
The episode concludes with Carrie's poignant statement: "He is my son. You have my son." The words hang in the air, carrying the weight of unspoken truths and unfulfilled promises.
