The opening scene of Episode 1 of "All's Fair" unfolds with two attorneys, Liberty Ronson and Allura Grant, engaged in a poignant conversation about their decision to depart their male-dominated firm and establish a female-centric practice dedicated to serving the legal needs of women. Dina Standish, the only female partner in the firm, suggests that they include one of their colleagues in this endeavor. Liberty and Allura extend an invitation to Emerald Greene, an investigator with a keen eye for detail, to join their ranks. Carrington Lane, another lawyer at the firm, is incensed by their departure and, upon learning that Dina had made the move without her, unleashes a furious vow to make them pay.

Fast forward ten years, Allura, Liberty, and Emerald are thriving at their firm, now synonymous with empowering women. Allura is married to Chase, a renowned and younger footballer, who surprises her with a diamond ring on their anniversary. The next day, Liberty and Emerald raise a toast to Allura's blissful union and the firm's milestone tenth anniversary, reliving their most significant cases. However, their celebration is marred by a hate note from Carrington, filled with malice and a sinister wish for their downfall.
As Allura enlists her assistant Milan to join their discussion on a new case, promising to lend a helping hand with her bar exam preparation, Liberty and Emerald delve into the details of their next client: Grace Henry, an aspiring actress who has been wooed by tech billionaire Lionel Lee. Lionel's modus operandi involves making Grace quit her job and sign a prenup that ensures she gets nothing if their relationship were to end. Allura observes that Grace isn't seeking monetary compensation, which piques their curiosity further. When the trio meets Grace, she confides that Lionel has introduced another woman into their relationship – Emma.
Grace's heart was ensnared by Emma, and now she felt a weight of guilt for the tumult she had wrought in Lionel's life. The lawyers vowed to wield their swords in her defense, a determination that echoed through the air like a promise of justice to be served. Later that day, Liberty received a call of distress from Sheila Baskin in New York. Her billionaire husband, Theodore Baskin, was making threats, and Liberty's heart raced with the urgency of the situation.
Confirming Theodore's ownership of a cosmetics empire that spanned the nation, Liberty set off for New York with haste. Upon arrival, she pushed past the security guards and made her way into their home, unafraid of the obstacle. Theodore claimed that Sheila had cheated on him with a restaurant chef, and that their prenup agreement would prevent her from claiming anything.
In private, Sheila confided in Liberty that she had cheated only because Theodore had emotionally abandoned her. She showed Liberty her vast collection of jewelry, gifts from Theodore that were apologies for missed anniversaries and birthdays. Liberty estimated the collection's worth at over $40 million and explained that since their marriage was in California, the jewelry legally belonged to Sheila.
Back at the firm, Allura and Emerald continued to dig into Grace's case with renewed vigor. Emerald revealed that she had been following Lionel and discovered he frequently visited a traditional spa owned by a woman named Devin, who was also a dominatrix. Emerald suspected that Lionel had been cheating on Grace with Devin for a long time.
In New York, Liberty helped Sheila leave the house with all her jewelry and informed Theodore that California law granted Sheila ownership of the gifts. Sheila apologized for her affair, explaining that she had strayed only because he had stopped treating her right.
Later, Liberty reunited with Allura and together they visited Devin to convince her to cooperate. Devin initially refused, but Allura offered her $10 million, and Devin agreed, providing damning evidence against Lionel.
The next day, Lionel and his lawyers met with Grace and her team for settlement talks. His lawyers refused to offer anything, citing the prenup agreement, until Allura presented photos from Devin's spa exposing Lionel's affair, including a compromising image that could destroy his reputation. Liberty pressed him to settle and sign over $210 million to Grace. Cornered and faced with no other choice, Lionel agreed.
The women celebrated their victory as Grace thanked them for saving her life. That night, Chase confessed to Allura that he felt trapped in their marriage and wanted a divorce. When she pleaded with him, he admitted that he was seeing someone else and left without another word.
Later, Liberty and Emerald pay a visit to Allura with the intention of offering her solace. Allura confesses that she has always harbored the fear that Chase would leave her for someone younger. Her friends tease her about her past tendency to choose superficial men, and in an effort to lift Allura's spirits, they decide to attend Sheila Baskin's upcoming jewelry auction in New York and indulge in a soothing soak in the hot tub. The episode concludes with a poignant moment as Chase encounters his new lover, who is revealed to be Milan, Allura's very own assistant.
