All’s Fair – Season 1 Episode 9 1

Carrington, with a steely determination, visits Liberty's office and presents her with an extravagant wedding gift, softening Liberty's defenses enough to allow for a conversation. But Carrington's true intention is to exploit Liberty's insecurities, crafting a web of lies that Allura and Emerald mock her behind her back. As Liberty selects bridesmaid dresses, Carrington slyly suggests she's suppressing her true self to fit in with her American friends, planting seeds of doubt that fester within Liberty's mind.

In response to Carrington's manipulations, Liberty convenes a meeting with Allura, Emerald, and Dina in the boardroom, announcing her reconsideration of who should be her maid of honor. She asks them to try on the floral bridesmaid dresses she's chosen, only for them to joke about how they resemble curtains. Though Allura gently reassures them with a kind word, Liberty takes their jests personally. As Liberty brings up Carrington's warning of ridicule, Dina instantly realizes the game being played.

Despite this realization, Liberty remains unaware of Carrington's manipulation. Later, in a private meeting with Carrington, she thanks her for her support, unaware of the web of deceit that has been woven. Delighted at having divided the women and successfully crossed Liberty's name off her own revenge list, Carrington's eyes gleam with satisfaction as she plots her next move in this intricate web of deceit and betrayal.

Liberty's wedding plans take a sudden turn when Emerald, with Allura's assistance, conducts a thorough background check on Reggie, before the nuptial knot could be tied. Their investigation reveals that Reggie is drowning in debt, teetering on the brink of losing all he owns. Despite Reggie's efforts to shield Liberty by pushing her to sign a prenup, which she resisted, Liberty learns of this from her friends rather than her fiancé. Unwavering in her conviction that she doesn't care about Reggie's financial woes, Liberty can't accept being deceived, especially after dedicating her career to fighting for women who have suffered betrayal from their spouses. Heartbroken, she calls off the wedding, returning the ring to Reggie, who is left devastated and leaves behind the symbol of their engagement.

As the partners gather to finalize the firm's future, Allura, Emerald, Liberty, and Dina sign a contract officially making Dina the fourth partner. The vote on whether Carrington should join the firm is cast anonymously, protecting each partner's vote. The result shocks the team: two out of four votes deny Carrington entry. Dina announces that there is a 48-hour window for another vote and forbids anyone from revealing their vote.

Carrington initially assumes Liberty is the one who voted against her entry into the firm. However, she soon realizes that it was Dina who cast the decisive vote. Enraged, Carrington confronts Dina, who tells her that she was mistaken in thinking Carrington had changed. Dina explains that Carrington is trying to destroy the women's relationships and vows to protect the firm from her. She further reveals that she never loved Carrington but only pitied her. The revelation causes Carrington deep hurt, and in a fit of rage, she splashes wine in Dina's face. Dina stands firm, promising that Carrington will never set foot in their firm again.

Carrington breaks down after Dina leaves and decides that her revenge will now target Dina specifically.

In the intricate web of deceit and manipulation that unfurls across season 1 of "All's Fair," Carrington's pursuit of Dina takes on a sinister, intricate twist. The moment Carrington confronts Allura with a barrage of ominous messages allegedly sent by Dina post-Doug's demise, the air thickens with suspicion. The text, an urgent plea for assistance in ending Dina's life, sends shivers down Allura's spine.

As if the alleged suicidal notes weren't enough, Carrington unveils a shocking revelation: Dina's alleged assault on her maid, Esperanza. Allura, joined by Emerald and Liberty, quickly mobilizes to conduct an intervention, their collective anxiety palpable.

Dina, undaunted by the accusations, maintains her innocence, insisting Carrington is weaving a web of lies. During the heated confrontation, Carrington exposes Dina's secretive communications with the late Doug and her reliance on medication to combat her amnesia. Dina struggles to maintain her composure amidst these accusations, but as Esperanza steps forward to testify to Dina's aggression, the situation spirals out of control.

Esperanza, her voice trembling with fear and resentment, claims Carrington threatened to have her family deported, forcing her into a corner where she felt compelled to lie. The nail in Dina's coffin comes when Carrington produces documentation attesting to Dina's willful transfer of 80% of her property to Esperanza. Dina, shocked and baffled by these claims, vehemently denies any such action, but the paperwork speaks for itself.

The season reaches its climax as Detective Morrow enters the fray, her arrival marking a turning point in the investigation. She arrests Dina for the heinous crime of Lloyd Walton's murder – the man who sexually assaulted Emerald – sealing the fate of those embroiled in this tangled web of deceit and love.
