Elsewhere, a new chapter unfolds as Isaac, Lee, and Billy converge at the bridge, casting the murder weapon into the river's depths, symbolically drawing a line under their dark deeds. In an unexpected turn, Russell steps in to rescue Grace from financial distress, settling her debts at the store and, on the way out, offering her a job at Landwill Energy. His proposal: to evangelize the virtues of working with Landwill, and Grace, grateful, accepts.

As Harris returns from his hunting expedition with Vic, Park's shadow looms once again over their cabin. Harris, cunningly aware, instructs Grace to film his every move until he can shake off the detective's scrutiny, leaving them to their privacy.

Cynthia's arrival home presents a tender scene, as Vic surprises her with a homemade dinner, his contrition evident as he apologizes for his past abusive behavior.

The investigation deepens as Harris and Burgos confront the professor once more, their persistence undaunted. Yet, she remains steadfast in her denial of guilt. However, a damning piece of evidence emerges—footage captured by a neighbor's camera, showing her approaching Liam and engaging in a heated confrontation, casting doubt on her innocence once more.

Vic receives an urgent call from Fisher, instructing him to bring both his own phone and Cynthia's along. Meeting with Fisher, Vic reveals a chilling revelation: Burgos had transmitted a damning image of Vic standing beside a lifeless body, using Cynthia's phone as the conduit, potentially entangling them in a web of criminal accusations.

Fisher, determined to tie up all loose ends, presses Vic to find a secluded spot, far from the prying eyes of the police station, where they can delve deeper into the matter. They retreat to a cozy diner, its ambiance a stark contrast to the gravity of their conversation, as they strategize and ponder their next move before parting ways.

As the episode draws to a close, Harris finds himself immersed in a brotherly gathering, the clink of poker chips and the buzz of camaraderie filling the air. Fisher's arrival, albeit delayed, adds another layer to the evening's tapestry. However, the absence of Vic's familiar face casts a shadow over the proceedings, leaving Harris to ponder the unthinkable—whether his friend has fallen victim to some dire misfortune.
