Episode 2 of *Beauty in Black* Season 2 kicks off with Kimmie, Sylvie, and Rain embarking on a tour of their brand-new mansion. The trio stands there, wide-eyed and utterly astounded by the sheer scale of the place and the lavish array of amenities it boasts.
Emotions well up within Kimmie, and she can't help but feel like a fish out of water in this opulent setting. Sensing her distress, Rain steps in, trying her best to lift Kimmie's spirits. Meanwhile, the butler hands Kimmie a sleek black card and gently urges her to indulge in some shopping, advising her to pick outfits that befit her newfound status.
Kimmie, however, is riddled with skepticism, her mind a whirlwind of doubts. Yet, on Rain's insistence and her growing trust in Horace, she decides to take the leap. She does make a mental note to squirrel away some cash for a rainy day, just in case, but resolves to seize the opportunities that have come her way.
Parallelly, Varney finds himself in a precarious situation as he attempts to deceive Roy about his clandestine relationship with Charles. Roy departs, but not before flashing a mischievous grin that sets Varney's nerves on edge. Varney is left panicking, consumed by the fear that Charles might have deliberately invited his brother over to blow his cover.
In a fit of desperation, Varney issues a threat to Charles, but the latter remains unfazed, paying no heed to Varney's words. Down in the basement, Roy pulls the attorney aside and lays down his terms: protect his shares and ensure Kimmie is removed from Horace's house, and in return, he'll keep Varney's secret affair with Charles under wraps.
Roy can't hide his smug satisfaction as he shares the juicy gossip with Mallory about Varney's romantic entanglement with Charles.
Meanwhile, Jules assigns Andy as Mallory's new driver, with Alex now slated to work for Kimmie. Mallory, however, is having none of it and refuses to let Andy work for her. Undeterred, Jules instructs Andy to keep a close eye on her nonetheless.
In a separate twist, Trackson reaches out to Alex, informing him of Angel's arrest and pleading with him to keep it a secret from Jules. Just then, Jules calls Alex, checking up on Kimmie and questioning his loyalty to them.
Alex tries to reassure him, but their moment is interrupted by the sudden appearance of Kimmie. Kimmie, her eyes ablaze with suspicion, confronts Alex, stating she doesn't trust him an inch. However, she grudgingly agrees to grant him an opportunity to prove his unwavering loyalty to Horace.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Horace comes face to face with Harold. With a steely gaze, he instructs Harold to get in touch with Daniel Lakeland. Once on the call, Horace launches into a fervent plea, urging his father to cease his relentless pursuit of Kimmie, who had the audacity to steal her father-in-law's car. Horace's tone turns menacing as he threatens to unveil Daniel and Norman's illicit money-laundering operation.
Daniel, caught off guard, reluctantly consents to let Kimmie off the hook. But he's not done yet; he demands that Horace select someone to take the fall for their misdeeds. Harold, seizing the moment, suggests using a young man who had recently been arrested as the perfect scapegoat. Horace, unaware of the true identity of this young man, agrees to hand him over to Daniel, not realizing that Harold is referring to Angel.
Furious at Harold for hiring Kimmie at the strip club, Horace issues a chilling warning, telling Harold to start counting his days. Meanwhile, Mallory crosses paths with Felicia and learns every sordid detail about Kimmie, Rain, Angel, and Sylvie. As she departs, she spots Andy tailing her and promptly issues a stern warning to Jules, demanding an immediate meeting at the office.
In stark contrast, Kimmie, Rain, and Sylvie embark on a shopping spree, their laughter echoing through the aisles. Horace calls Kimmie to check in on her and inquires about Angel's whereabouts. He informs her that the issue with the stolen car has been resolved and requests a meeting with her later.
Back in prison, Jules makes an unwelcome appearance before Angel, his voice dripping with venom as he threatens to have Angel deported and his son killed. Angel, standing tall, demands a lawyer and refuses to succumb to Jules's threats. Enraged, Jules orders Trackson to carry out the heinous act of killing Angel's son.
Kimmie and Rain head to the bank, only to discover that Kimmie's account boasts a staggering sum of over $3 million. Without hesitation, Kimmie instructs the teller to transfer $500,000 to the accounts of Sylvie and Rain. Rain, overwhelmed by Kimmie's generosity, is deeply moved.
Alex, sensing the tension, confides in Kimmie that Angel is behind bars and begs her to keep the information from Horace. But Kimmie, unable to contain her guilt, calls Horace and reveals that Angel has been arrested for the car theft. Horace, connecting the dots, realizes with horror that he had inadvertently ordered Angel's death.
As Angel walks out of the prison gates, a gunman emerges from the shadows and opens fire, the sound of gunfire shattering the silence.
