Austin informs Ashley that they'll have to pay the full medical bill because her insurance terms are invalid, and she immediately blames Josh for the situation. While Austin gets her a drink, Ashley uses his phone to text Eunice and checks for signs of cheating, but finds nothing. She panics, deletes the chat, and Eunice replies with prayer hands after hearing about the accident. They remain at the hospital for hours due to the lack of urgency.
Meanwhile, Josh arrives on Chairperson Park's orders and offers to use his connections to speed up Ashley's treatment. However, he asks her to delete all backup videos of his fight with Lindsay, and when she refuses, he leaves. Shortly after, Ashley begins experiencing abdominal pain. Austin asks a nurse for help, but the request is ignored. Ashley collapses and is taken to the emergency room, where initial tests rule out ovarian torsion. The doctor diagnoses food poisoning, and Ashley feels guilty for taking up a bed.
Meanwhile, Austin grows suspicious and calls Eunice, learning about the deleted messages from his phone. Elsewhere, Ashley's condition worsens, and she is rushed into urgent surgery when ovarian torsion is detected. During recovery, she hallucinates a call from her mother before waking up.
After the surgery, Austin breaks the devastating news to Ashley that she will not be able to conceive naturally. She struggles to process this devastating news as the episode comes to a close.
Meanwhile, David, Josh's contact, pays a visit to Ashley and reveals that an earlier intervention could have made a difference if Josh had reached out sooner. Ashley comes to the realization that Josh's delay might have cost her the chance to start a family. Upon returning home, Ashley becomes increasingly withdrawn and irritable as she recovers. Her frustration towards Josh intensifies with each passing day.
One day, Ashley makes her way to Josh's house and vandalizes several items. She snaps photos of invoices that show large miscellaneous expenses. Before leaving, Ashley leaves a sinister surprise by pouring her menstrual blood into Josh's orange juice and rushing out, leaving the door ajar. The episode concludes with Josh and Lindsay's dog, Burberry, walking out through the open door.
