Episode 1 of "Berlin and The Lady with an Ermine" commences as Berlin and Damian arrive at the picturesque coastal city of San Sebastián aboard their yacht. Damian proposes their latest heist: robbing the Bank of Marbella, targeting the vault with its valuable deposit boxes. He argues that the bank is located in a city that hosts Russian millionaires, Arab sheikhs, and the mafia, who store not only jewelry but also dirty money in these safety deposit boxes. Berlin, however, is hesitant, considering it a high-risk endeavor with uncertain returns. Thus, he has a new plan in mind.

Berlin and The Lady with An Ermine – Episode 1 1

He takes Damian to a yacht party to mingle with millionaires while his sights are set on the Duchess of Malaga, Genoveva Dantes. He introduces himself as Simon after helping her with a necklace mishap. Genoveva has to leave early, so he walks her out and is unexpectedly invited to her palace in Seville. They agree to meet up two weeks later since Berlin's travel is strictly by boat, which takes longer.

When Berlin and Damian arrive in Seville, Berlin enters the palace with chocolates for the lady, excited to scout the place. To his surprise, it turns out that he was the one targeted when Genoveva introduced him to her husband, the Duke. The Duke knows about Berlin and the chalice that was stolen in Madrid. He demands that Berlin steal an original Leonardo da Vinci painting, "The Lady with an Ermine," when it arrives in Seville as part of an exhibition on the Renaissance at the former Convento de la Merced Calzada, now the Museum of Fine Arts.

Berlin is enraged that the duke wants to use him as an errand boy and rants to Damian about how his robberies are masterpieces. He does not refuse the duke's offer outright because he intends to teach him a lesson for the disrespect. He decides that they should make him their next target for a heist. If they reject him, he could report them since he has their information. Berlin argues that he is a bigger criminal, so he will not report them when they take what's his. Damian agrees and steps aside to call the rest of the crew.

Meanwhile, a woman storms out onto a balcony, angrily yelling at her boyfriend and throwing clothes and records that scatter across the ground below. As onlookers watch, she follows him outside, insisting that he leave because he had cheated on her, and he walks away. Berlin approaches the woman, Candela, and strikes up a conversation. When Damian returns after calling the crew, Berlin excitedly tells him that Candela managed to steal his wallet while they were talking.

Although he knew what she was doing, he let her do it and was impressed by her skills. Damian chuckled, knowing that Berlin was more excited about getting his wallet from Candela later. Berlin's voice narrates the subsequent events to the rest of the crew after the Paris heist. Keila and Bruce fell in love and invited 1500 of their friends to a party where Bruce was saying goodbye to his carefree lifestyle of sleeping around and partying to build a life with Keila. They showed up together to their meetup. On the other hand, Cameron and Roi were in a relationship for a while, but they separated. They arrived at the meetup separately and could not talk to each other.

Damian returned home to an empty house after his wife left. To cope with the loneliness, he spent more time at the university and even joined the teachers' paddleball league. Meanwhile, Berlin had bought a one-way ticket to Singapore to reunite with Camille, but Damian kept showing up at his house and pretending to run into him. Berlin decided to take him on a world tour until he finally accepted his new reality.

With the team back together in Seville, Berlin and Damian update them on their new task, which focuses less on what they steal but from whom. Their target is Alvaro Hermoso de Medina, the Duke of Malaga.

During their earlier meeting, Alvaro had hinted at wanting "The Lady with an Ermine" to be a part of his collection, yet he had refused to disclose its whereabouts. To everyone's surprise, Berlin proposed they go after "the collection," a term that left them all scratching their heads. Damian couldn't help but laugh at the suggestion, reminding him of his own plan to rob the Bank of Marbella's vault. He believed Berlin's ego and arrogance were the driving forces behind his proposal.

Damian was furious that Genoveva had lured him all the way to Seville under the pretext of a date, only to reveal it was a meeting with her husband. Nevertheless, they decided to stay for the collection heist and then later rob the bank to compare the loot and determine whose plan was better.

That night, Berlin instructed Roi to break into Candela's house. While she pretended to be asleep, he explored the premises, only to be met with a BB gun blast from her. Meanwhile, the rest of the team delved deep into Alvaro's background. Keila discovered that in 1999, he had built a tunnel from his house to his wineries and that an actual train traveled from his mansion to the cellars. A year later, Bruce found out that he had moved everything from the winery and closed it down, which puzzled them. Cameron noted that he had claimed a million-euro deduction from his tax returns in the same year from a security company based in Geneva, Nitax Private Security.

Roi returned without Berlin, leaving Damian enraged that he had been left to investigate the heist while Roi chased after Candela. Meanwhile, Candela helped remove the BB pellets from Roi's body. When he asked about his wallet, she claimed that her ex-boyfriend had stolen it along with her money from a shoebox. She suggested they go get it back, and before he could process it, she was already dressed and they were driving to his place.

They arrived at an RV park where she watched him storm over to the ex-boyfriend's door. When he failed to answer, she barricaded the door with two wooden planks and set it on fire. Berlin stepped out of the car and admired the chaos as Candela forced the ex-boyfriend to confess that he had cheated with his cousin. Candela then walked back to the car, leaving the neighbors to help the ex.

Later, the police pulled them over and stepped away to check on their license and registration. This is when she told Berlin that the vehicle was stolen. Berlin already knew because it was hotwired and had children's toys inside, but Candela had no kids. As the police ran the plates, they quickly switched seats. The police confirmed that the car was stolen, and another police car blocked the road behind them. By this time, Berlin was behind the wheel and ready to drive out of this sticky situation.
