Berlin and The Lady with An Ermine – Episode 8

Published: May 21 2026

The thrilling finale of Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine begins with Berlin inviting his younger brother, Sergio (the professor), to Seville for his upcoming marriage. It turns out that this will be his fourth marriage, and Berlin is convinced that he has finally found the love of his life. However, Sergio has a different plan.

Sergio, being the astute professor that he is, devises a cunning strategy against Alvaro. He feels that not holding their end of the deal would put the crew in danger. He urges Berlin to go through with the heist to steal The Lady with an Ermine and, in the process, gain leverage over Alvaro. After they rob him, they will not have to look over their shoulder constantly. Alvaro will choose not to go after them either, since it would mean he would lose much more than he would gain.

Berlin and The Lady with An Ermine – Episode 8 1

Following Sergio's suggestion, Berlin and the crew pull off their first heist and collect evidence of Alvaro's illegal smuggling of diamonds and frame him for stealing The Lady with an Ermine.

The plan to steal The Lady with an Ermine is meticulously executed well before the day of the heist. Keila manages to hack into the company's security system, transport the painting, and manipulate it. Using strategically placed cameras around the airport, they obtain the codes to the security van's door during a routine check before transport.

The heist happens en-route to the museum in broad daylight, as Alvaro had insisted. There are no convoys escorting the van carrying the high-value painting, and they choose to pull over on a bridge. One by one, Candela's family lines up around the van, with Roi leading the convoy with a watermelon truck. They stage an accident, and once Roi's lorry falls, the rest of the vehicles follow in controlled disorder, skidding, halting, and crashing to make the accident look real. Smoke fills the place as vehicles start exploding from the bombs they had planted earlier. The bridge is engulfed in smoke and chaos, and behind the curtain, Berlin and the team spring into action. The code opens the van, and they replace the painting with a perfect replica. Bruce drives away with the original, disguised as a pizza delivery driver. Damian and Keila disguise the actual robbery as an attempted one by trying to melt the locks with a blowtorch. When the police show up, they make a quick getaway on motorcycles. The museum staff arrive and scan the barcode attached to the painting. He confirms that the painting is real, but is unaware that Keila has already hacked the system and manipulated it.

Alvaro hears news of the attempted robbery while hiking in the countryside with Genoveva, and he's thrilled that his master plan was successful.

The gang successfully carried out the second heist—the extraction of the underground vault. Their main mission was to clean out Alvaro, and after stealing "The Lady with an Ermine," they headed back to the chapel and into the underground crypt.

The plan was for Keila to hack the system, followed by Roi and Bruce entering the vault to withstand the raging fire for 45 seconds before it goes off. Bruce had second thoughts about the plan's danger, but when he saw Roi walk in, he followed. The ring of fire activated once the system failed to identify Alvaro's retinal scan. Roi reported that he was burning and begged them to open the door, but Berlin couldn't risk it since the oxygen would only feed the fire. They waited for the fire to die out before opening the doors, and Berlin stepped in to help them out. Roi was injured, and Bruce was unconscious. Berlin couldn't get them out in time, and the door closed again. They were scared the process might repeat, and they would die. Luckily, there was no more gas left to ignite. Roi and Bruce suffered minor burn wounds but refused to leave without the money.

Earlier, Candela had managed to steal the magnetic key from Alvaro. They opened the door and emptied all 75 million euros hidden inside. What happened to Alvaro?

Not only did Berlin and the gang empty the vault but also Alvaro's private art collection. Even Genoveva abandoned him for Damian. He was left with nothing apart from the original painting, "The Lady with an Ermine." Berlin called Alvaro and slyly explained that the painting they stole was worth more than that, so they paid themselves by cleaning out his vault. They had also installed surveillance cameras in his private gallery and recorded a video of the duke with the stolen painting. Not only that, they had evidence of him smuggling uncut gold. If he sought revenge against them, he would have much more to lose. Alvaro decided not to pursue the gang, even after Santos suggested it. He lay in bed with Samuel and told him that they had to start over together.

What role did Samuel play? Samuel, Alvaro's bodyguard, held deeper feelings for him. He discovered Berlin's plan when he found the tracker hidden inside a fake bundle of money. He had the opportunity to stop it, as this episode revealed that he was aware of everything, including Damian's affair with Genoveva. He chose to stay silent because Alvaro prioritized wealth, status, and his wife over him. This was actually the key to the heists' success. After Alvaro lost everything, Samuel stayed by his side, demonstrating complete loyalty so Alvaro could finally look at him.

What transpires for the Throuple? Keila, Bruce, and Claudio embark on a date. Bruce soon realizes that it's not the kind of relationship he desires, and only suggested it due to his deep love for Keila and fear of losing her. He was grasping at straws, knowing that Keila had feelings for someone else, so he decides to leave after a night of revelry together. In the end, Keila realizes that she truly wants Bruce, so she bids adieu to Claudio and rushes after him. They remain together, still deeply in love.

What happens to Rio and Cameron? Cameron manages to locate the stash of diamonds despite Berlin's orders, but she's discovered. Refusing to betray the team, she's thrown overboard into the freezing ocean water, leading to her demise. Her death is masked as an accident.

Roi is devastated, especially since, before her passing, she recorded a final message apologizing to him and admitting that she was still in love with him. The message only reaches him after her death. At the end of the episode, during Berlin's wedding, Roi and Camille strike up a conversation and seem to hit it off.

How does the season conclude? At the climax of the episode, Berlin ties the knot with Candela. During his wedding ceremony, Damian and Genoveva are present and happily discuss a world tour.
