The narrative shifts to the present, where Yumeko and Kira find themselves in an agreement to engage in a high-stakes gamble for the antidote to a deadly poison. The tension escalates as Kira's father introduces an additional stipulation: the defeated party must withdraw from school. They settle on a game of Blackjack, with Mary acting as the dealer.
Amid their delirium, Yumeko and Kira plunge into the game. Yumeko's mind wanders, conjuring hallucinations where Kira reveals a shocking truth: her parents deceived the Kakegurui club members into investing their fortunes and subsequently absconded with the money. The game concludes in an unexpected stalemate, with each player securing half of the precious antidote.
Determined to confront her father, Kira bravery steps up to challenge him but is met with a cruel public humiliation.
Following this, Yumeko approaches Kira with a proposition—join her in seeking vengeance, and she will assist Kira in reclaiming her status as the student representative.
Later, Yumeko's path crosses with Ray, who brandishes a gun and forces her into his room. In this confines, he validates the rumors Yumeko has heard about her parents: they did indeed swindle the group out of their wealth.
Yumeko, steadfast in her disbelief, strikes Ray with a poisoned weapon. She demands the unvarnished truth in exchange for the antidote, but Ray insists that he has told her the truth and was merely acting under Kira's father's directives.
Yumeko accidentally shatters the antidote, prompting Ray to disclose a startling revelation: her mother, still very much alive, is concealed beneath the surface, with Ray being the sole guardian of her whereabouts. Yet, by then, it was a moment too late. Kira steps in heroically, sacrificing himself to buy Yumeko precious moments of escape by framing her father, while Ryan and Yumeko make their hasty retreat. As the episode draws to a cliffhanger, Yumeko swears a solemn oath to exact vengeance upon every single member of the board.
