Episode 11 of "Resident Playbook" kicks off with Do-won and I-yeong stepping into a bustling real estate agent's office, their mission to secure an apartment for Do-won in close proximity to the hospital. As they peruse their options, fate throws them into an unexpected encounter with Dr. Do Jae-hak, unbeknownst to them at the time. He, too, is present, seeking a buyer for his home and enthusiastically pitching it to the unwitting duo. Their skepticism gets the better of them, and they depart, convinced he's a con artist despite his protests about being once duped himself.
Later, the pair finds themselves in a cozy restaurant ambiance, only to be suddenly drawn into a dramatic scenario when a patron begins choking. Instinctively, Do-won and I-yeong spring into action, their quick reflexes saving a life.
Returning to the hospital, their harmonious presence together catches someone's eye – none other than the new OB-GYN nurse. To their relief, she pledges discretion, shielding their budding relationship from prying eyes.
Elsewhere within the hospital walls, Nam-kyung persists in her quest to recruit a first-year resident for the OB-GYN department, once again targeting intern doctor Tak Gi-on. However, his disinterest remains steadfast.
In a poignant turn, I-yeong assumes the role of attending physician for her professor, Geum Sae-byeok, a quintessential workaholic who, despite her impending delivery in a week's time, finds herself back in the operating theater.
Elsewhere, Jae-il awakens to find his leg mysteriously numb, a victim of an awkward slumber on a hospital bed. Sa-bi steps in to lend a helping hand, only to later discover Jae-il's charade – his 'frozen' leg was but a ploy to keep Sa-bi by his side.
He also visits an elderly cancer patient and her contentious sister, whose bickering never seems to cease. However, when one sister is gripped by the fear of losing the other, her emotions overflow, and she bursts into tears. Jae-il captures this poignant moment in a photograph, providing them with a cherished keepsake.
During a family gathering with her sister and brother-in-law, I-yeong encounters Nam-kyung unexpectedly, leading to an unplanned meeting between him and her family. The following day, Professor Geum finds herself admitted to the hospital yet continues to underestimate the significance of her delivery while pressuring I-yeong with an overwhelming workload.
In the midst of an urgent delivery, Nam-kyung and his second-year colleague reveal their passionate true selves to Gi-on. Their heartfelt approach has a more profound impact on him than their usual reserved persuasion, especially when he witnesses the safe and healthy delivery of both the mother and baby.
Later, Professor Geum finally acknowledges her pain and sheds her doctor's stoic demeanor as she prepares for surgery. Despite I-yeong's hesitance, she asks her to perform the suturing, hoping to learn from the experience. In the end, I-yeong executes the task flawlessly.
That evening, I-yeong constantly checks on Professor Geum's condition. It is also revealed that the new nurse and I-yeong have a shared history from a previous job. I-yeong had left that job after biting a doctor who had assaulted the nurse, although rumors mistakenly spread that she had kicked a senior doctor.
The next day, Sa-bi receives identical texts from both Do-won and I-yeong containing the same address, realizing they cohabit. Meanwhile, Nam-kyung catches wind of Do-won referring to I-yeong as his sister-in-law. Eventually, the three residents, excluding I-yeong, come across a video depicting Do-won and I-yeong heroically saving a man at a restaurant. With this discovery, the pieces fall into place: they are dating, they are related by marriage, and they live together. The episode concludes with this revealing revelation!
