Episode 3 of "Bloody Flower" commences with Woo-gyeom divulging to Han-jun his intention to perform a demonstration of his supposed cure. Meanwhile, the news program "The Current Affairs Forum" is swaying the older demographic by branding Woo-gyeom a conman. However, Prosecutor Cha's father expresses his concerns for her and urges her to drop the case. However, she is uncomfortable with his affections, believing that their relationship may compromise her credibility.

We also witness Min-seo's mother, Jae-hee, judging Han-jun for going to such lengths for their daughter. When he mentions the cure, she dismisses Woo-gyeom's treatment. The prosecution enlists former prosecutor turned assemblyman Baek, who supports the death penalty. Cha convinces him to go on the news program and state so, confident that he will win the election as the public desires the same. He even mentions Han-jun's divorce. Nevertheless, Cha disapproves of such underhanded tactics and slams Baek's chief of staff for devising such a strategy.
The defense team eventually learns that Woo-gyeom's victims are criminals with serious charges such as assault and child abuse. They leak this information, which goes viral on social media, and the younger public starts supporting Woo-gyeom.
At the subsequent hearing, Han-jun submits three new pieces of evidence: the cure history, which reveals that a clinical trial was actually approved before Woo-gyeom's accident; the criminal charges against all the victims; and the cure itself, which is Woo-gyeom's mutated blood, confirmed by Jae-hee to possess some healing properties. Finally, Han-jun requests a medical demonstration and declares that he will resign from the bar if Woo-gyeom proves to be a liar.
However, both Han-jun and Prosecutor Cha are intrigued by the mystery of Woo-gyeom's research (the red notebook) that no one has ever found. They both speculate that Woo-gyeom has an accomplice, and Cha's suspicions are further fueled when Detective Gong presents CCTV footage of a mysterious man passing by Woo-gyeom's clinic.
For his part, Han-jun delves into Woo-gyeom's hospital records and concludes that Woo-gyeom's doctor, Professor Han, must be the accomplice, given that he was the one who discovered the mutated cells. However, when Han-jun confronts Professor Han, he is met with a categorical denial of Woo-gyeom's claims and a statement that there is no cure. As he leaves, Han-jun notices a black car parked outside Han's home.
In prison, Woo-gyeom's calm demeanor puzzles some of the inmates. Later, a guard informs one of these same inmates that Woo-gyeom had killed his own brother. At the hospital, Min-seo's condition continues to deteriorate. The American Blood Association approves of the demo, but the National Forensics rejects it, citing unsafe and unknown results.
Detective Gong is relentless in his search for the accomplice and is led to a man who was found strangled to death. At the next hearing, the judge agrees to consider Woo-gyeom's motive but refuses to accept the medical demo and instead accepts Cha's charge for the death penalty.
