The third episode of "Boyfriend on Demand" begins with Mi-rae encountering Eun-ho in a new date spot, a school campus adorned in pastel pink hues. The setting, complete with pink jumpers, is reminiscent of the good old days, as the pair stroll through the familiar surroundings.

Surprisingly, Mi-rae is not alone in this exploration. She is joined by her old classmate, Su-ji, who introduces her to a fencing match featuring a new star player for Hansae University. This player is Eun-ho, the same guy she met at the end of episode 2.
To get closer to him, Mi-rae joins the fencing club and winds up sparring with Eun-ho in front of the whole group. The pair have a proper match and trade blows, with Mi-rae even getting the upper hand against Eun-ho!
Funnily enough, Mr. Ko is also present as a fellow fencer, but he's actually better known as Jung-pil in this reality, a senior at the Kumbo Club. Unlike Si-woo, Eun-ho is not particularly quick to jump into the idea of dating Mi-rae. This gets her frustrated, which her dating manager explains is all part of the process. Some candidates, out of the chosen 900 in this dating experience, just aren't ready to fall head over heels for Mi-rae. Some require her to put in some effort and work to reap the benefits.
Mi-rae, however, is so caught up in her new virtual gig that she ends up dozing off at work, neglecting her duties. However, one bonus is that Song has decided to go on hiatus for the time being, freeing Mi-rae up for a bit more time.
Naturally, Mi-rae and Ji-yeon hang out and discuss their old flames, but it only drives Mi-rae to try and win over Eun-ho in this virtual dating game. This scenario is very different from that of Si-woo, and Mi-rae also manages to best Eun-ho consistently while fencing too.
Spicing things up is Mi-rae's rival in this reality, Ye-rin. She's also trying to date Eun-ho and it starts a little rivalry between the two girls. However, given that Mi-rae doesn't really know anything about Eun-ho, it also gives them an opportunity to hang out and try to slowly learn more about one another.
The perfect opportunity presented itself after dinner, as the pair found themselves walking back to the dormitories together. On their way, the skies opened up, and they ended up in the laundry room together, waiting for the rain to pass. However, this entire scenario brought back memories of her own experiences with Se-june, causing her to reflect on their past. Eun-ho snapped her out of her thoughts as they sat together, reminding her of her playful hair toss (a seductive attempt earlier in the episode when they were seated in class) and assuring her that she didn't need to worry about Ye-rin.
In the real world, Mi-rae couldn't help but replay moments from her life with Se-june. They used to argue over social media posts, a stark contrast to how he's now posting more frequently with his current flame, You-mi. To distract herself from these thoughts, Mi-rae became even more invested in Boyfriend on Demand. She napped at work in the cozy breakroom chairs and started spending more time with Eun-ho.
Later, Kyeong-nam and Mi-rae were talking outside the restaurant after a team dinner. She mentioned her "date thing" and that she wouldn't be sticking around for long. Kyeong-nam grabbed his umbrella and rushed off, leaving Mi-rae alone.
The word "alone" is significant because that night, Mi-rae checked online and saw that Se-june and You-mi were getting married. She was invited to the wedding, and Se-june actually called to apologize for seeing that. Of course, this led Mi-rae to double down on the final four hours she had left of her Boyfriend on Demand subscription. Her mood was sour, and she struggled to enjoy the experience. It brought back memories of her breakup with Se-june, and Eun-ho soon came to help during the bus ride.
However, given how closely aligned Eun-ho and Se-june were with the beginning of her dating life, Mi-rae allowed herself to remember the good times she had with her ex, intermingled with the bad. It was a nice way for her to reminisce and move on from her lingering feelings.
