The final day of filming the reality show between South Korean actress Cha Mu-hee and Japanese actor Hiro begins at a picturesque location. A translator named Joo Ho-jin is interpreting for both of them from a vantage point. After enjoying the scenery for a while, Hiro tells Mu-hee that he's enjoyed all the scenery because she has been a part of it. Joo Ho-jin is shocked and unable to translate. Hiro then asks Ho-jin to translate something else, but there aren't any subtitles here to help us understand. Ho-jin translates it as "I need Cha Mu-hee to know I adore her." But is this from Hiro? Or from Ho-jin?

The K-drama then flashes back to April a year ago. Ho-jin is in Japan, working as a translator for a South Korean writer named Mr. Kim. As they talk, we learn that Ho-jin is going to Spain soon for some work. Ho-jin leaves and ends up taking the same train as Cha Mu-hee. They both end up at a ramen shop called Momo-chan Ramen.
Ho-jin sits next to her and overhears her trying to use a translation app. As she realizes he's also South Korean, a distraction occurs. A small boy from an Italian family gets an allergic reaction, and since he speaks Italian as well, Ho-jin helps the family get him to an ambulance.
He returns to the shop to find Mu-hee, who kept an eye on his belongings. She asks him to help her interpret a conversation with the shop's owner. However, she's come here to confront her ex-boyfriend, Yu-jin, who works as a chef at the restaurant and left Mu-hee for someone who works there. Ho-jin reluctantly helps, and Mu-hee learns that his girlfriend is an older woman named Eiko, who is 7 months pregnant! And Yu-jin only left Mu-hee three months ago.
Mu-hee storms off, but Eiko asks Ho-jin to relay a message. She says the baby is her ex-husband's, not Yu-jin's. Also, if Mu-hee changes Yu-jin's mind, she is willing to let him go. Mu-hee wants to go back in and fight, but Ho-jin says he doesn't want to be involved in her craziness. However, she says that she's doing this for love and convinces Ho-jin to interpret again.
This time, she questions Eiko whether Yu-jin spent any time with her during his prolonged disappearances. Eiko admits that he did. Mu-hee asserts that Yu-jin is treating Eiko like a charity case. Although Ho-jin doesn't translate that, Eiko recounts how she and Yu-jin were in a relationship since he was studying. However, he fell for Mu-hee, a woman who was abandoned by her family. Eiko accuses Mu-hee of exploiting her misery to keep Yu-jin around.
Mu-hee begins to tear up and says she doesn't want Eiko to see her cry. Ho-jin gives her a hug so she can cry in private and then lies to Eiko, pretending that he and Mu-hee are traveling together and visited Eiko out of politeness. They leave the restaurant and part ways after an awkward goodbye. But Mu-hee soon returns, running back since she mistakenly took Ho-jin's phone.
Ho-jin receives a call from the Italian boy's mother, who thanks him for his help and offers him a dinner reservation as a gift. Ho-jin asks Mu-hee if she wants to join him, and she says yes. They decide to spend the day together until it's time for the reservation. They go sightseeing and Ho-jin learns that Mu-hee is an actor, although not a very famous one. They go to an island, and Ho-jin admits that he had visited the island with a girl named Ji-seon, whom he once loved. He's now visiting it again, since it's her birthday, and he wanted to see how much he misses her. He tells Mu-hee that it was a simple misunderstanding that kept him and Ji-seon apart.
Later, while searching for a restaurant, they make a bet on which direction the place is in. If Mu-hee is right, she wants Ho-jin to follow her on Instagram. Ho-jin then gets a call from a man named Na Jin-suk, the man who is currently dating Ji-seon. He says he had a fight with Ji-seon, and her Instagram shows that she's in Japan. Ho-jin realizes she is at the island's observatory and, on Mu-hee's encouragement, runs all the way there. But just as he reaches there, Jin-suk calls again.
Sometime later, Mu-hee bags the lead role for a zombie movie. When the director picks a fight with the stuntman, Mu-hee agrees to do a stunt herself, for which she falls off a building. The shot goes well, but at the last second, the cables holding Mu-hee snap, and she falls to the ground.
She wakes up in the hospital after being in a coma for several months, during which the film "The Quiet Woman" and her character Do Ra-mi have become a global phenomenon! Elsewhere, Ho-jin sees the news as well.
