In the third episode of "Can This Love Be Translated," the drama unfolds with the memorable incident on the red carpet. Japanese actor Hiro arrives in a car, following closely behind Mu-hee's. As she stops in her tracks, he waits for her to complete her walk, but not wanting to miss his moment, he heads out and catches her as she falls.
Meanwhile, the producers of a TV show called "Romantic Trip" are searching for a female actress to pair with Hiro. They view the clip of Hiro catching Mu-hee on the red carpet and decide they have found their perfect match.

In Japan, Ho-jin takes Mu-hee to a doctor he knows in the country. Mu-hee reveals that Yong-u spotted him at the hotel where they were staying, which is how she knew to go to him for help. Mu-hee is seeking anxiety medication and reluctantly explains her visions of Do Ra-mi to the doctor. She mentions that she was involved in a major accident that claimed the lives of her parents when she was a child, but she can't remember any of it.
A flashback shows Ho-jin overhearing some of Mu-hee's relatives at the hospital. They inform the doctor that Mu-hee has cut ties with them and ask him not to contact them again.
At present, the doctor prescribes her some pills and advises her to undergo some tests when she returns to Seoul. Afterwards, Ho-jin tells her to take care and not to drink at the event she needs to attend that night.
Mu-hee attends the party and meets Hiro, who expects a thank you from her and is surprised when she assumes he wants a picture with her instead. She clearly doesn't recognize him.
The producers of "Romantic Trip" reach out to Ho-jin to sign on as the show's interpreter. Since they plan on traveling across the world, Ho-jin's knowledge of languages will be useful. Ho-jin is surprised when he learns that Ji-seon recommended his name to the producers.
That night, Jin-suk meets Ho-jin and they go out for dinner, with Jin-suk getting drunk in the process. He tells Ho-jin that he plans on getting married to Ji-seon in the next month. When Ji-seon comes to pick Jin-suk up, she asks Ho-jin about the TV gig. Realizing that the work will allow him to skip the wedding, Ho-jin says he'll do it.
Yet, another surprise awaited him at the studio, where he discovered that Mu-hee was the show's leading actress. During a preliminary interview for the show, Mu-hee saw Do Ra-mi and lost her confidence, unable to answer properly. Taking a break, Yong-u shared with Mu-hee that Ho-jin was probably there only because Ji-seon had asked him to come. Soon, Mu-hee and Ho-jin had a moment to speak alone. Mu-hee revealed that she had been tested and her results were clear, but Do Ra-mi was still there. Ho-jin accused her of not taking care of herself and brought up Ji-seon to taunt him in return. He told her that he had been using the show as a way to avoid Ji-seon's wedding. They ended up arguing about whether they would be able to work together despite knowing so much about each other, and Ho-jin agreed to quit.
After he left, Mu-hee entered an elevator to find Do Ra-mi standing there. As they descended, Do Ra-mi taunted her, and Mu-hee began to scream. Unfortunately, the elevator doors opened, and the TV show's crew saw her crouched and screaming. She tried to play it off casually and then told Yong-u they should leave.
Back home, Mr. Kim and Ho-jin found a photo of Ho-jin's family - his parents, Ho-jin, and Jin-suk (who was born of a different mother). Mr. Kim then asked about Mu-hee and warned Ho-jin that his words could be harsh sometimes.
Mu-hee reached out with an olive branch and met Ho-jin at a restaurant. They apologized to each other for their harsh words. The show's producers hadn't reached out to her again, and she seemed to have accepted it. They both lamented not being able to see the aurora borealis, which would have been part of the show.
But then she received a call from Yong-u, who said she had bagged the Romantic Trip gig. But now that she had it, she started to panic about getting anxious during the shoot. She realized Ho-jin would probably be able to help and begged him to accompany her. He accepted!
The scene was filled with tension and emotions as the characters struggled with their pasts and present situations. The dialogue was sharp and the actions of the characters were well-executed, adding depth to the story.
