As she reveals her powers, Jo Anna (played by another actor) arrives, displaying a snobby and chic persona that leaves Hwa-jin feeling like a freeloader in society. Anna's henchmen freeze and capture Hwa-jin, setting the stage for the story's next twist.

Cashero – K-drama Episode 2 1

In a convenience store, Ho-in, an alcoholic, and Eun-mi, a short-tempered part-time worker, are worried about Hwa-jin's fate. They watch viral videos of Sang-ung saving a bus and Ho-in insists that they need his help to end the war.

The scene cuts to the police station where Sang-ung is being held in a cell, surrounded by inmates who bully him. He calls Jeong-ja, a loan shark, who bails him out but reveals that his father, Kang Dong-gi, owes her 3 billion won! Sang-ung tries to flee but is knocked out by her men.

At Beomha Ranch, Jo Anna's research lab, she has been extracting superpowers from her captives and making them ordinary. She plans to transfer the superpowers to people of her choosing and slaps her scientist for being slow with the clinical trials. She disregards protocols and gives Hwa-jin's firepower to her new bodyguard.

Back at Jeong-ja's hideout, she tests Sang-ung's power by having her men beat him. She is annoyed that Dong-gi didn't marry her and orders Sang-ung to marry her daughter if he wants to escape Jo Anna's clutches. He is completely lost and makes a run for it. She lets him go, confident that he will come crawling back.

Sang-ung returns home to find Min-suk upset and claiming that she cannot rely on him anymore. She leaves, and he runs after her. Their apartment explodes, and he sees Anna's bodyguard, realizing that someone is indeed after him. He hides in his parents' home and finds a letter from his dad.

This episode sets the stage for the impending conflict between the characters as they struggle to understand their powers and the implications of their actions. The story builds tension as each character faces their own challenges and struggles to find their place in this world of superpowers and danger.

The following day, Jo Anna spies on Min-suk attending a wedding at a hotel, and decides to use her as bait to lure Sang-ung. Suddenly, a bomb explodes in the hotel, causing chaos and destruction. At home, Sang-ung is desperately trying to reach Min-suk, who is ignoring his calls. He sees the news of the blast and panics, remembering the wedding. He rushes to her side but realizes he has no money.

In Dong-gi's letter, he writes about the emptiness he felt after losing his money and how he only survived because of his wife and Sang-ung. He tells Sang-ung that if he has someone waiting for him on the other side, he will be able to bear it. However, his parting advice is that he should never touch his savings account. It cuts to a scene where Sang-ung withdraws everything from his savings account. He arrives at the hotel and saves Min-suk from being crushed by a collapsing ceiling.

Her relief quickly turns to anger when she learns that he has spent all his money. As he helps the wedding guests escape, she is lost in thought. Once they are left alone, he reveals that he has already signed their marriage form. They can open an account in her name that will remain hers even if they divorce. They start laughing at the absurdity of it all. Before they can hug, Anna's bodyguard appears. Unfortunately, Sang-ung is no match for him and is thrown into a fire by the bodyguard as he runs out of money.

Min-suk tries to stop the bodyguard from attacking Sang-ung, but he suddenly appears and knocks him out with a punch powered by the wedding gift money. Min-suk panics as Sang-ung weakens from using someone else's money. Right then, Eun-mi and Ho-in walk through a wall and enter the burning hotel. They introduce themselves as members of the Society of Korean Superhumans. Ho-in reveals that Dong-gi is a friend and they have a drink together.

Sang-ung passes out from thinking about all the trouble he's in, leaving a dramatic cliffhanger for the next episode.
