Caught – Season 1 Episode 2 1

In the present day, chaos unfolds as Leo goes missing. Ema, driven by a need to be transparent, confides in her colleagues about their fleeting encounter, unaware that it will spiral out of control and land on the internet's ruthless stage. Netizens, relentless and unforgiving, unleash a torrent of vitriol and mockery upon her. Vicky and her superior, sensing the burgeoning scandal, seek to shield the workplace by distancing Ema from the case. Yet, she stands her ground, convinced that Leo's seduction was a calculated maneuver to divert her attention from his true intentions.

Leo, seemingly unfazed by the turmoil he's stirred, makes a bold appearance at the Costas', intent on setting the record straight. Camila, trembling with fear, watches helplessly as her mother, Isabel, summarily chases him away. Meanwhile, Martina's absence weighs heavily on her parents' minds, her sister Sofia casually suggesting she might be with Gael.

The police arrive at the foundation with a search warrant, casting a pall of tension over the premises. Estela, the compassionate counselor and Leo's friend, along with Marcos, are incensed by the turn of events. When Ema enters the fray, Marcos accuses her of ruining an innocent man's life, his words laced with venom.

Conversely, another counselor, Ramiro, finds himself swayed by the accusations, agreeing to an interview with Ema despite Estela's furious protests. Estela, her anger now a blazing inferno, forcibly ejects Ema from the premises.

Elsewhere, the Schulz family descends upon Gael's place, their judgments colored by his financial hardships. They are met only by Gael's father, who reveals a poignant truth: neither Gael nor Martina have shown their faces.

Vicky and Ema attempt to conduct an interview with Juliana, but she promptly turfs them out. Through their investigation, they uncover that Juliana was married to Leo for a decade following the mysterious disappearance of Armando's father. Intriguingly, the couple never cohabited, fueling Ema's suspicions even further.

Elsewhere, Bruno is in a state of distress over the missing boat, while Fer remains confident in their chances of locating it. They meticulously review all the videos captured during the party.

In the aftermath of the altercation, Isabel, distraught and emotional, eventually agrees to speak with Ema. She opens up about how Camila forged a close bond with an online acquaintance. On the day they were supposed to meet in person, he concealed his identity and sexually assaulted Camila. Leo was there to offer comfort to the family in the wake of the trauma.

Adding insult to injury, Ariana, the drunk driver who caused Juan's death, appears and pleads for Ema's forgiveness. She reveals herself as the sender of the letters to the Garays. Ema loses her temper, refusing to engage with Ariana's attempts at Alcoholics Anonymous recovery. Ariana confesses she relapsed shortly before the fatal accident, despite her previous attempts at AA. Ema is unconvinced of her capacity for change and tells her to take her own life in frustration.

Meanwhile, the Schulz family is in despair as they report Martina as missing. A police officer spots Leo sneaking back into his home and alerts Facu. Leo hastily packs his belongings, but as he makes his escape, Facu's menacing associates attack him. He narrowly dodges the assault, but the gang sets his house ablaze in retaliation.

Marcos is enjoying a family moment when Leo unexpectedly seeks his help to flee. However, Marcos persuades him to surrender and allow a lawyer to prove his innocence. Marcos' wife is dissatisfied with her husband continually bailing Leo out of trouble. When Marcos returns to his friend's side, he discovers that Leo has vanished without a trace.

Elsewhere, after Gael catches sight of the police, he sneaks something away in an abandoned barn. Upon his return, he finds himself grilled by the commissioner about Martina's whereabouts. The commissioner's probing strikes a chord when he speculates that Martina and Gael may have once been an item, until she betrayed him with infidelity.

Meanwhile, Armando is deeply troubled by Leo's plight and confines himself to the school toilet. Juliana's anxiety doesn't subside until he emerges, seeking solace in her embrace. Bruno, on the other hand, remains in a state of panic as the police interrogate the caretaker concerning the missing boat. Fortunately, Fer sends through a video that captures Martina making her way towards the boat during the party.

Marcos, the last person to see Leo, faces questioning from Ema. It transpires that he is both wealthy and influential, having even funded the foundation. He reproaches her for condemning Leo without giving him a chance to clear his name. Intrigued by Marcos's unwavering trust in Leo, she inquires why he is so steadfast. Marcos replies that they are like brothers.

As she exits, Ema receives a call from Leo, who intends to surrender himself but insists that she must know the truth. Nearby, Facu and his gang persist in their search for Leo. When Ema meets Leo, she refuses to credit his version of events, asserting that there is ample evidence stacked against him. However, Leo contends that he was framed, with someone deliberately planting the evidence.

He unveils that Martina Schulz had approached him for help and directed him to the location where Ema found him. He further confesses that he is clueless about playing video games and hasn't engaged in any online conversations with girls. Suddenly, it dawns on them both that they were set up by the real perpetrator.

Just then, Facu bursts in, brandishing a gun. Leo attempts to dissuade him, but mentioning Camila incites Facu to shoot Leo in the neck. Horrified, Ema speeds away. As "Caught" Episode 2 concludes, Bruno's missing boat floats eerily in the middle of the river, adorned with Martina's yellow scarf.
