The sixth episode of Chad Powers unfolds with Ricky frantically attempting to summon an ambulance for her father, only to be met with a series of impersonal automated responses. She laments their predicament, sans her car, and the urgency of the situation forces a moment of selflessness from Russ. He volunteers to don a disguise, if only temporarily, and surprises Ricky by magically appearing with the Cybertruck. Her shock turns to relief as she loads her father into the vehicle.

As Chad navigates the journey to the hospital, he weaves a web of lies that Ricky's keen eye sees through instantly. Upon arrival, she gently informs him that his presence isn't necessary inside.
Chad's ruse is soon exposed as Ricky confronts him in Danny's dance practice, tearing off one of his arm sleeves to reveal a tattoo that confirms his true identity as Russ Holiday. The revelation shatters any lingering hope for their friendship, and Russ retreats, determined to keep his deception from spreading.
Danny, however, remains steadfast in his efforts to offer solace. When Russ admits his homelessness, Danny invites him to meet his father, even if just to return the prosthetics. This act of kindness shows a glimmer of hope amidst the chaos.
Meanwhile, Ricky pays a visit to Coach Hudson, whose mind is still preoccupied with the game despite his recent heart attack. The coach is unaware of Chad's absence from practice and assumes it's due to the stress of the game. Ricky struggles to muster the courage to tell the truth, torn between her loyalty to her team and her growing realization of the truth.
As the team boards the bus for the game, Russ and Danny pay a visit to his father. Initially met with anger, the man is soon won over by Russ's dedication and apology for his past mistakes. The man is elated by his son's transformation and encourages him to keep pushing forward. His support serves as a turning point in their relationship, symbolizing a new chapter in their lives.
As Russ continues to perfect his makeup, the Catfish team arrives in Athens, the city where they'll take the stage. With Chad absent from their journey, Gerry is granted his spot. Ricky, on her own, retreats to the bus to compose herself, only to be surprised by Russ's untimely arrival. He attempts to mimic Chad's persona, but this action only incites Ricky's ire, prompting him to back off and speak from the heart.
Chad's authenticity, though not immediately apparent, is genuine. More importantly, his feelings for Ricky are very real. He desires to be by her side and support the team. Upon hearing him out, Ricky requests to touch his face. She gently strokes his head, feeling the prosthetic beneath her fingers. To his surprise, she then slaps him affectionately. Despite his sincerity, Ricky remains furious. She calls him a pathetic loser and accuses him of ending her friend's life. Chad was her friend, and no matter what Russ says, he's gone forever.
As their conversation intensifies, she tells him that she wishes Russ had taken his own life after ruining their team's victory in the Rose Bowl. She makes it clear that if he stays near the team, she'll reveal everything about him. However, he counters that she won't do it. If Ricky does, all their victories will be erased. And as the team's leader, her father will bear the brunt of the fall. So, if she speaks ill of him to the press, she won't just ruin his life; she'll destroy the entire team and her father's career.
While Gerry tries to rally the team for the game, Chad unexpectedly appears, igniting their spirits and being quickly welcomed back by the coaches. This drives Gerry into a frenzy; it was supposed to be his moment of glory, but Chad can return without explanation and take over the team. He yells and complains about it, but Ricky silences him with a firm gaze.
As everyone heads out to the field, filled with excitement and belief in their ability to win once again, Ricky hands Chad the ball and stares at him, making him uneasy. The season comes to a close with that moment of tension and uncertainty.
