In the beginning of Episode 3 of Citadel Season 2, we find ourselves in England where Nadia meets up with Orlick, Hutch, and his partner, Celine Rohr, at Baha Mar. As Mason arrives, Nadia leaves since she does not want to work with him. Orlick runs after her, reminding her that if they want to get out for good and protect their families, they need to kill Manticore’s eight families, starting with Paulo Braga. For that, they need Mason since he is the best killer they have. He convinces her to give him 72 hours to assess Mason’s motives, and if he tries to betray them, he will kill him.

Citadel – Season 2 Episode 3 1

Orlick brings together his team, including Mason, Nadia, Hutch, and Celine, and updates them on the software Braga is developing to kill the Russian President. Braga wants access to the Russian spy satellite network, a cutting-edge surveillance technology that can track someone down to their DNA. Braga’s problem is that Aronov is a nationalist, so he wants to kill him and bring the corrupt prime minister to power to have access to the satellite and have eyes everywhere. They have seven days to kill Braga before he kills Aronov.

Mason says he has no interest in saving the world, but Braga has Abby, so he has no choice but to work with them to stop his assassins. Orlick explains how the mind control chip works and updates that he sabotaged the programming that hijacked the brain and created a firewall that blocks any transmission longer than a minute. The only people who can disable the firewall are he and the Korean hacker, Edison. The team has to get him before Braga does.

Orlick shows them a photo of Edison taken years ago, but they can’t see his face since he was wearing a bag to hide his identity. Nadia recognizes Frank as one of the people with him, so they have to bring him into the team. Orlick reminds them that even though they are a disaster as a team, they are the only ones who can stop Braga.

In France, Braga is called in to Edgar’s school because his son punched a boy and made him bleed. On the wall is Edgar’s picture of a black wolf with blood dripping from its mouth. The surveillance camera caught the incident, so he will be suspended for a week.

The narrative unfolds in a thrilling manner as each character's motivations and relationships are intricately woven into the plot, creating a sense of urgency and danger that keeps the viewer on the edge of their seats. The setting and descriptions are vivid, painting a clear picture of the world they inhabit and the stakes they are willing to go to in order to survive.

The mischievous boy, whom Pierre unexpectedly punched, was a constant source of trouble at school. He would pull girls' hair, scream, and tease others, including Edgar, but the school authorities seemed to turn a blind eye to his antics. Edgar, driven by a sense of justice, took it upon himself to restore order. Braga, a formidable figure, warned the teacher that if she ever put Edgar in a position where he had to perform her duties, she would face the consequences.

Charlotte updated Joanna, who was watching from outside the classroom, that they were unable to reach Aparna. She suggested finding alternatives to replace her, but Joanna insisted that Aparna was the best fit, so they should try reaching out again. In the meantime, Aparna was still pursuing Nadia and seated in the same icy-cold water in the bathroom when Joanna called. She warned her to stop her obsession with Nadia and not make her another of her infatuations.

Nadia entrusted her daughter Asha with her mother, who is also a former spy. She had left her when she was young to keep her safe, so she asked that she keep her daughter safe until she returned. Her mother handed her a card with the number of someone to call if she ever got into trouble.

Outside the station where Nadia got off, Mason was waiting, claiming that he wanted to see Asha one more time. Nadia warned him never to go near her and asked him to let her move forward. Nadia reminded him that he knew a way forward but that he was such a coward that he could never do it.

Meanwhile, Orlick, Hutch, and Celine found Frank. They learned that when he met Edison, he was working for the CIA. They figured that Edison's information would be stored at the CIA European headquarters in Rome. Orlick proposed breaking into the CIA headquarters, but Hutch warned them that it was impossible to break into. Orlick dismissed their concerns, asserting that the CIA were morons and that they could break into their servers even if they were blindfolded. He then brought Frank into the team for his skills in gathering information on people.

Celine and Hutch didn't trust Orlick and the team, so they agreed that if they messed up the operations, they would look out for each other and burn them. A flashback five years earlier explained that the CIA had hired Celine to rein in Hutch. He was an A-plus agent and the best reaper the CIA ever hired, but he was too reckless.

Celine was entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining Hutch's focus on missions and keeping him away from the Hague. She was strictly instructed to follow only the orders given by her handlers, and if ever Hutch veered off course, she was to terminate him without hesitation. In the present scenario, Frank presents the team with a group of CIA agents who have become their target. Their mission is to blackmail and turn them. The team begins to shadow their marks.

Later, as Hutch and Celine enter the CIA headquarters, they claim that they want to trade Nadia and Frank for a chance at reinstatement. However, Nadia swiftly turns the tables, seizing the gun from Celine and offering to trade Orlick and Mason in exchange for the CIA's assistance in helping her and Asha disappear. Her intelligence convinces Bantam and Cash, the directors, to respond to their demands. They are taken in for questioning while Mason and Orlick provide support from outside.

Mason calls Katherine and lies that her son has broken her arm and is being taken in for emergency treatment, thus drawing her outside the headquarters. Meanwhile, they use sonic sounds to immobilize the agents inside the CIA, while Hutch retrieves the codes to the server from another agent they have already turned. On their way out, Hutch confronts Nadia and shoots her for not adhering to the plan.

At the end of the episode, Nadia lies bleeding out and unconscious on the floor of the CIA headquarters. The screen once again displays the image of a wolf, its mouth dripping with blood, reinforcing the ominous tone of the episode.
