Confidence Queen – K-drama Episode 11 1

Determined to seek justice for himself, Gu-ho embarks on a solo mission to reopen his father's murder case while struggling to make ends meet. However, his efforts are met with indifference; no one seems interested in revisiting the case, and justice seems to be a distant dream.

Speaking of justice, James too decides to leave Yi-rang, making things even tougher for him. His nonchalant attitude doesn't help matters either, and he often drowns his sorrows in alcohol with Sang-hui.

As time passes, the two grow closer, with James working tirelessly at the bar and flirting whenever he can. However, Sang-hui has a dark secret lurking in her past. One afternoon, her ex-boyfriend shows up at the bar, causing her undue stress.

It turns out that Sang-hui got pregnant right before college graduation, but her partner at the time was not ready for that responsibility and instead chose to gamble and sleep with other women. This caused unnecessary stress that led to a miscarriage.

James sets out to find this guy and tracks him down at the nearby gym. This guy is quite wealthy, so James makes a deal with him: if he wins a boxing match, he has to stay away from Sang-hui and give him 70 million won.

Despite his professional boxing background, James emerges victorious in the emotional battle. Sang-hui's tempting kiss only confirms his initial hunch that she poses a threat. His heart shatters when he catches her leaving with another man, but Yi-rang's timely arrival steers him back into working alongside her.

Meanwhile, in a different corner of the story, we delve into the world of Abdullah de Juju, the head of ANK, the world's largest oil company. His ambitious plan to build an eco-friendly city in the desert sets off alarms for Yi-rang, who relentlessly works to uncover the truth behind this project and find a vulnerability in his plan.

This vulnerability might come in the form of Kang Yo-seop, the CEO of Josef Architects and a key player in the project. While A-reum, fresh-faced and ready with her resume, initially fails to make the cut, she takes a bold step and knocks on his door, seeking an explanation for her rejection. Yo-seop, intrigued by her persistence, invites her in and reveals that he doesn't want "more than one Yo-seop" at the company. However, this is a test from Yi-rang to see if A-reum is worthy, and she happily plays along to catch him off guard.

Regardless, Yo-seop changes his mind, and Yi-rang is able to secure a position at the firm. Meanwhile, Gu-ho uncovers a food thief at his workplace and, in the process, forms a bond with an old man named Man-bok.

After work, Yo-seop takes A-reum to a hotel and assures her of her freedom to leave at any time. However, James rushes in just as a secret off-record meeting involving ministers and high-ranking officials kicks off, all looking to reap quick profits from this city project.

Among the investors stands Chairman Cho Man-bok, a figure from the Jay Fund, the same entity where Gu-ho used to work as a lodger. It is almost fated that Gu-ho and Yi-rang find themselves crossing paths once again under peculiar circumstances. However, a subsequent bombshell reveals that Gu-ho has now taken over as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of this project, succeeding Man-bok who is temporarily stepping aside.
