Episode 4 of "Daldal" commences on the ominous night of Prabhat's murder, where Anita coercively urges Sajid to commit the deed. Sajid seizes Prabhat's wrist, yet finds himself unable to make the cut until Anita motivates him in the same manner he had previously spurred her to kill Manohar. She discovers Sajid's phone in Prabhat's room and deftly stuffs it into the deceased man's mouth. The media frenzy escalates around the police station, buzzing with talk of a second murder with an identical modus operandi.
Anita finds herself at the station, where she engages in a conversation with Jatin. Jatin attempts to impress Anita by sharing his insights on the case, only to be shocked when he learns that she already knows the suspect's identity – Sajid. Sanjay calls Rita to meet him, and she is taken aback to see Vikram. Vikram informs Sanjay that Sajid is the son of Chandu Naik, the last surviving member of the Kattar gang. Vikram asserts that Sajid is a drug addict who killed Prabhat to steal his money for drugs. Rita disagrees with this assessment, but Sanjay urges her to close the case as swiftly as possible.
Rita peruses an old interview of Chandu Naik, still seething at the way Sanjay and Vikram treated her. She lavishes her anger on Indu for no reason, refusing to allow her to take a half-day off work. Indu calls her husband to ask him to pick up their son because she cannot leave work. Rita reprimands Indu for lagging behind when Vikram knew more about the case than they did.
Adi calls Rita and asks her to speak with his mother about their breakup. Rita becomes upset with him and asks him to handle his mother on his own terms, calling him out for dragging her into his family matters. Vikram speaks against Rita, but Indu ignores his attempt to sow discord between her and Rita. Indu meets Sajid's father, Chandu, and learns that Sajid was left-handed. Chandu examines the scar on Prabhat's wrist and reveals that Sajid possessed commendable knife skills.
Jatin informs Rita that the phone numbers utilized by both Sajid and Anant are registered under the name of Edward Fernando. Jatin traces the phone, which was discovered by the beach where Manohar met his demise. The police investigate a boat and uncover syringes, drugs, and other items linking the case to Sajid.
Meanwhile, Anita returns from work and notices that Sajid has vanished from their home. Vikram's informant spots Sajid and informs the police about his whereabouts. Throughout the day, Sajid wanders the city while Anita traverses town in search of him.
That night, Indu shares with Rita her latest revelation. She exposes that the person who sliced Edward's wrist was not Sajid, as he is left-handed. Rita locates Indu's son, Atharv, at the station and realizes that Indu had requested a half-day off work due to the boy's presence. Rita feels remorseful for snapping at Indu and sends her home. The episode concludes with Sajid leaping onto a railway track as a train rapidly approaches.
