Episode 4 of "Debris" kicks off with a relentless downpour assaulting the outdoors, but this is no ordinary rainfall; it's a manifestation triggered by a fresh fragment of extraterrestrial debris, poised to wreak havoc. A figure, cloaking himself in a raincoat, trudges through a cornfield, only to be engulfed by an uncontrollable coughing fit, choking desperately until he collapses to the earth. As the camera sweeps outwards, a peculiar sight reveals: the very same patch of land is bathed in sunshine, with the rain miraculously confined within a half-mile perimeter.

Alerted by this anomaly, Finola and Bryan rush to the farm to unravel the mystery. There, they discover John immersed in an autopsy, revealing that the farmer and several others succumbed to asphyxiation, a puzzle given the seemingly disparate conditions. Donning full-body suits, they venture into the cornfield, determined to seek answers.

Meanwhile, at the warehouse, workers recount hearing an eerie sound in the dead of night, adding to their woes: an eight-year-old child is missing. After instructing the workers to remain in place, Finola and Bryan decide to split up for a more thorough search. Bryan strikes gold when he stumbles upon both his piece of debris and the missing child, albeit alongside several somber reminders of life cut short.

Ephraim, a self-proclaimed resident of the farm, appears on the scene, desperate to reach his family. Finola, however, stands firm, denying his request but promising to keep him informed through regular updates. This commitment extends to taking a blood sample for comparison with those trapped inside the farmhouse.

Elsewhere, Finola meticulously examines a flower she's picked up, uncovering disturbing insights. The flora appears to indicate a shift in atmospheric composition, hinting at a broader transformation. In simpler terms, it seems this debris fragment might be terraforming Earth itself. Ironically, if aliens craved a wet, cold, dreary habitat, they could hardly have chosen a worse destination than England.

Regardless, Finola holds fast to the belief that Debris 489 possesses the power to induce a state of suspended animation upon the inhabitants of the farm, enabling their temporary relocation to a secure facility until a course of action is ascertained. In the midst of executing this intricate maneuver, Finola's phone buzzes with an urgent call from MI6, conveying the astonishing news that her father might still be breathing. Her superior attests that the Americans, and more specifically Bryan, are already privy to this development.

Spurred by this revelation, Finola resolves to unburden herself to Ephraim, detailing their intentions concerning the enigmatic debris. Armed with this knowledge, Ephraim makes a daring decision, opting to accompany his loved ones into this uncertain future.

As a ethereal blue shroud envelops them, Bryan ventures inside, his gaze falling upon the multitude of men and women encased in crystalline stasis. But almost as abruptly as it began, the storm outside dissipates, a subtle indication that the debris has been removed from its original locale. Seizing the moment, Finola makes her exit, leaving behind a parting shot laden with frosty venom, aimed squarely at Bryan for his lack of transparency.
