The eighth episode of "Down Cemetery Road" unfurls with Hamza perched in the Scottish village, watching Sarah and Dinah safely reach the shore. He hurls a message to C, who replies succinctly, "FINISH IT." But before Amos can make an appearance, Zoe stumbles upon the scene alongside Donny, the Scottish captain. It turns out she survived the blast, but her troubles are just beginning—the police are on her tail, with a warrant in hand.

As they hail a ride to the train station, Amos hotwires a car and sets off in pursuit, joined by an equally determined Hamza.
Meanwhile, Talia confronts C about the soldiers and the myriad events that have unfolded this season. He labels them war criminals and reveals that he offered them a chance to volunteer in Research & Development. The military was experimenting with a new weapon and its antidote, making them human guinea pigs. Talia is appalled by this revelation of massive war crimes committed by the department. However, C reassures her that he has "top government agents" handling the situation—let's hope he doesn't mean Hamza.
As for Hamza, he messes up in the most comical yet terrifying way possible. He commandeers the bus Zoe is on and drives straight past the train station, oblivious to the other passengers waiting to board. Zoe manages to distract him just enough for him to lose control and crash into a graveyard. With a gun in hand, Hamza leads them into the church, waiting for backup while he hesitates to pull the trigger.
Dinah finds a way to wedge a metal spike free from the pews and gives it to Zoe as Amos zeros in on their location. He throws a grenade inside and confronts Hamza about his disrespectful words towards Axel.
In the tense climax of the story, Hamza holds Amos at gunpoint, his finger hovering over the trigger, but he hesitates. Unfortunately, despite her bravery in slipping through the church's vents and escaping outside, Dinah returns to the church's window, only to be spotted by Hamza. Sarah, relentless in her pursuit, emerges right behind Dinah and takes the initiative by grabbing a shotgun from her bag on the bus. In a tense standoff, Hamza grabs the shotgun for himself, only to have his plan backfire when he pulls the trigger—the plugs were still in, and he's left with a mangled hand but alive.
As for Amos, his fate is grim. Zoe grabs him and pulls him back into the church, but her quick thinking and a sharp spike turn the tables as she stabs him in the eye. He stumbles back, slips on a toy train, and crashes his head on a stone, his life flashing before his eyes as he dies instantly.
Sarah and Zoe eventually reunite with Dinah outside and take off in Amos's stolen car without any issues. On their way back to London, Zoe calls Wayne and tells him to "go global" with their discoveries.
The story concludes with a poignant moment as the trio toasts to Joe while the chemical testing footage goes viral. Talia scrambles to destroy all evidence of this, while C is fired from his position in parliament. He meets with a businessman who welcomes him to the "private sector," leaving Talia to face a tough public interview.
Back in London, Dinah is dropped off with Ella, just as Downey had wished. Zoe and Sarah part ways, bringing an end to the season with a sense of closure and anticipation for what's to come next.
