The third episode of Dynamite Kiss begins with Da-rim nervously attending her interview at Natural Bebe, while Ji-hyuk absents himself to the restroom, unknowingly missing the opportunity to witness her anxiety. Desperate to impress, Da-rim overcompensates, but luckily, it doesn't matter as Ji-hye is not hiring based on skills. She's hoping to assemble an incompetent team that will tarnish Ji-hyuk's reputation.
Meanwhile, Ji-hyuk is hoping to kill time for the next six months, brainstorming ways to free his mother from his father's clutches. Gyeong-min tries to get him more involved, but Ji-hyuk couldn't care less. Part of him is still hopeful to find Da-rim, as he can't stop thinking about their dynamite kiss.
Later that evening, Seon-u encourages Da-rim to have more faith in herself as she awaits the call for her job. He reminds her of how she used to save him from his bullies in their youth. Just when she is about to give up, she receives a call from Natural Bebe, informing her that she has been hired. Ecstatic about the new job, she celebrates with Seon-u.
The following morning, she drops by the hospital to visit her mom, promising to work with integrity as she starts her new job. Later, Da-rim reports for her first day of the six-month-long internship at the company. She meets the Mother TF team colleagues, including Nan-sook, Jin-hee, and Go-eun. At the same time, Chang-ho introduces Ji-hyuk as the team leader of the new team.
It is at this point that Ji-hyuk and Da-rim see each other again. Ji-hyuk is beyond shocked to learn that Da-rim is a married mother to a six-year-old. For a while, he spaces out at the meeting before asking Da-rim again if she is married with a son. Once she confirms it, he starts laughing in disbelief while Da-rim rushes to fetch the welcome gifts to avoid awkwardness.
Ji-hyuk follows her out and they run into each other at the elevator. He takes her to the rooftop, where he proceeds to scold her. Da-rim explains that technically, she didn't lie when she said she doesn't have a boyfriend—she is married; therefore, she has a husband. She begs Ji-hyuk to forget their kiss, blaming it on temporary insanity after a fight with her husband. Ji-hyuk finds her audacious, and the fact that she belittles their kiss makes it worse. He demands that she quit by the end of the day.
Elsewhere, we see Ha-yeong trying to convince her dad to let her work on the upcoming photography exhibit. Her father orders her to focus on getting married and things that profit the company. Still, Ha-yeong refuses to give up. She is interested in Seon-u's work, but he keeps rejecting it. She decides to drop by his studio and convince him herself.
At Natural Bebe, the Mother TF team introduces themselves with a mix of excitement and anticipation, each one eager to seize this opportunity as their big break. However, Ji-hyuk's demeanor belies their eagerness, urging them to relax and simply wait out the time.
Meanwhile, Ha-yeong pays a visit to Seon-u's studio, her gaze immediately drawn to him in a moment of first sight. She introduces herself, her voice laden with enthusiasm, and shares more about her upcoming exhibit. She proposes using a picture of his ex-girlfriend, but Seon-u is uninterested in displaying it. He firmly rejects her offer once again. Before leaving, Ha-yeong gives him her card and asks him to call if his mind changes.
In the evening, Da-rim is preoccupied with her thoughts as she prepares to leave for the day. On her way out, she runs into Ji-hyuk once again. Unexpectedly, Ji-hyuk has no intention of revealing his almost-affair with the new employee. He doubles down on his request that she quit by the next morning, lashing out at her with words that recall his worry and disappointment. To his surprise, Da-rim is surprised that he cares so much for her. After the confrontation, Ji-hyuk heads to his local bar to drown his sorrows in alcohol. Gyeong-min finds him there, shocked to hear the latest twist in his friend's love life. He encourages Ji-hyuk to forget about that woman and move on.
The next day, Ji-hyuk summons Da-rim to his office to request her resignation letter. She challenges him to fire her legally, catching Ji-hyuk off guard; he didn't expect her to fight back.
Later, during a meeting with other team leaders, Ji-hyuk devises a plan to do away with Da-rim, and eagerly volunteers his team to review the new products, particularly after learning they will have to pull an all-nighter. Unfortunately, all the labs are booked, and so the review is conducted in an open field. With a guilty conscience, Ji-hyuk coerces Da-rim into volunteering for the task. He leads her to an open campsite and orders her to conduct a thorough examination—the job involves determining if the baby milk bottles shrink during sterilization, which requires Da-rim to stay awake and record the results 180 times.
Feeling slighted, Da-rim embarks on the review with determination, aware that Ji-hyuk has set a trap for her. Meanwhile, Ji-hye sends Choon-gu to spy on Da-rim after hearing about Ji-hyul's team's involvement in the job. That night, Da-rim stays awake and meticulously records the results of the review. Throughout it all, she regrets her encounter and kiss with Ji-hyuk. Choon-gu falls asleep while watching her. After 36 hours, Ji-hyuk decides to check on Da-rim's progress.
When he arrives, he finds the tent on fire, and his first instinct is to save her. He rushes to put out the flames only to be met by Da-rim behind him with a fire extinguisher. She quickly puts out the fire, and in relief, Ji-hyuk hugs her. As he pulls away, she shows him the results of the review. He lies that he's more concerned about a compensation claim if she had been injured in the fire and proceeds to blame her for being careless.
Da-rim explains that she only went to the restroom and didn't know the wind would blow the embers towards the tent. Ji-hyuk insists that she should take responsibility and quit, but she refuses. She defends her hard work, and Ji-hyuk starts walking away. As Da-rim passes him his phone, she catches a glimpse of the lucky cloverleaf she gave him. Ji-hyuk grabs the phone and throws away the leaf before driving off, clearly affected by their fight.
The next morning, everyone praises Da-rim's hard work. Ji-hye is displeased that her plans didn't work out as expected. It turns out that Choon-gu was the one who accidentally started the fire. At the office, Ji-hyuk chooses not to show up, reflecting his guilt over his actions and their subsequent consequences.
In the case of Ji-hyuk, his journey led him to visit his mother, who nurtured him with a heartfelt message: to live life differently than she did. That evening, Da-rim and Seon-u ventured into the grocery store, where their paths unexpectedly crossed with Jin-hee. Seon-u's expression was one of profound shock when Da-rim introduced him as her husband. Jin-hee's reaction was equally startled upon learning the truth behind her white lie. Nevertheless, he agreed to play along with her masquerade.
The following morning, the Mother TF Team discovered that their positions were mere stepping stones for Ji-hyuk's entry into the company. After six months, they would be dismissed. Da-rim encouraged them to prove their worth and secure a permanent spot. They decided to dedicate themselves to a comprehensive report of their findings.
The team plunged into a series of grueling all-nighters, determined to complete the task swiftly. Despite Ji-hyuk's absence, the women persevered with their best efforts, while Gyeong-min offered his support in any way he could. Once the report was finished, Gyeong-min offered to deliver it to Ji-hyuk for his approval. However, he was unexpectedly summoned by the chairman.
Da-rim volunteered to take the report to Ji-hyuk, but he was still reeling from his feelings for her. He was exhausting himself with running and swimming to escape her memory. She found him swimming in the pool and asked him to take a look at the report.
Ji-hyuk accused her of always seeking an advantage to advance herself. Instead of lashing out, Da-rim patiently endured his harsh words. She insisted that she couldn't afford to be irresponsible or misuse any opportunity. As Ji-hyuk reminded her that she needed to quit so he could return to work, she fell on her knees before him.
Da-rim pleaded with him to give the team at least one chance to prove themselves, arguing that the job was their lifeline. Ji-hyuk grabbed the report and threw it into the water. In desperation, Da-rim jumped into the pool despite her inability to swim. Ji-hyuk was forced to rescue her again and as he held her in his arms, staring into her eyes, he struggled not to kiss her. However, Da-rim was just as flustered as he was!
