In the fourth episode of Dynamite Kiss, the scene opens with Da-rim and Ji-hyuk at the poolside. After rescuing Da-rim from the water, Ji-hyuk inquires why she jumped in. Da-rim asserts her desire to live and implores him to peruse the reports. Meanwhile, Seon-u and his son Kim-jun play before dinner, with Seon-u leaving to fetch his son's favorite dumplings.
Back to our central couple, Ji-hyuk drives Da-rim home, offering her advice on crafting a compelling report during the ride. His smile betrays his joy at being close to her.
Upon arriving home, Da-rim finds the loan sharks waiting for her. In the midst of this, Ji-hyuk realizes she's forgotten her phone in his car and turns back. Meanwhile, Da-rim lies about her identity to the loan sharks. Suddenly, Ji-hyuk appears, calling her by name. The loan sharks realize Da-rim's ruse and chase after her. She grabs Ji-hyuk and orders him to run, surprising him when she outpaces him. They eventually take refuge in a discarded closet, almost kissing in the process.
Outside, Seon-u arrives to see the commotion and begins to search for Da-rim. He finds her hiding in the closet with Ji-hyuk. Initially, Ji-hyuk is possessive of Da-rim until Seon-u introduces himself as her husband. Ji-hyuk's face falls, and he lets go of her hand, watching silently as Seon-u carries Da-rim home on his back.
After encountering Seon-u, Ji-hyuk returns home feeling enraged. Gyeong-min teases him for being jealous, but Ji-hyuk refuses to admit it. At Seon-u's house, he takes care of Da-rim and advises her to report the loan sharks to the police the next day. The rest of the night, Da-rim works on the report using Ji-hyuk's past work as a reference.
The next day, Gyeong-min forces Ji-hyuk to show up for work. Once Ji-hyuk arrives, Da-rim shows him the report she worked on the previous night. He misinterprets her when she says she made a seductive report, but regardless, the team applauds their hard work. The other members of the team subtly criticize Ji-hyuk for disappointing them. However, Da-rim comes to his defense.
As Seon-u pondered over Da-rim's financial struggles, he made a decision to pay a visit to Ha-geong's company, initially intending to discuss the upcoming exhibit. However, he overheard Ha-geong's mother disparaging his work efforts, causing him to read the room and swiftly excuse himself. Little did he know, another meddling parent in the form of Chairman Chang-ho had also arrived.
Ji-hye led him to believe that Ji-hyuk was not contributing enough to the company, and he attempted to scold his son. But Ji-hyuk reminded him of their previous agreement, keeping his father at bay. Later, Ji-hyuk received a call from his mother informing him of her accident, her leg hurt. Worried she might be contemplating suicide, he rushed to the hospital to be by her side. However, she insisted she was not.
A flashback revealed that Chang-ho had cheated on In-ae and brought his mistress's child home, an act of disrespect that had driven In-ae to attempt suicide. At a tender age, Ji-hyuk had found his mother with her hands slit, an incident that had deeply affected his concept of love.
As he was leaving the hospital, Ji-hyuk ran into Da-rim and her mother. Myeong-soon thanked Ji-hyuk for giving her daughter a job. Later, Ji-hyuk and Da-rim bonded over their love for their mothers, each understanding the weight of being a guardian to a parent. Da-rim used this opportunity to secure a truce from Ji-hyuk.
Meanwhile, Ha-gyeong visited Seon-u's studio to apologize. She found him busy with a last-minute customer and offered to pick up Kim-jun. Kim-jun had been feeling left out due to his lack of a mother, and he was delighted when the beautiful Ha-gyeong appeared for him. He openly expressed his wish that Ha-gyeong were dating his father, a sentiment that delighted our girl immensely.
At work, Ji-hye's discontentment with the team's success brews a plot with Choong-gu to undermine their rivals. Choong-gu ingeniously initiates an emergency livestream, fabricating a narrative that their competitors are launching a new venture. Despite Ji-hyuk's initial reluctance, the Mother TF team eagerly embraces the opportunity, with Jin-hee and Nan-sook volunteering to host, while Ji-hyuk and D-rim take charge of acquiring necessary items. Gyeong-min adds to the excitement by requesting a special giveaway gift for their clients.
With roles clearly defined, the team gears up for the livestream. An amusing mishap at a baby store sees Da-rim and Ji-hyuk mistaken for a couple, leading to an impromptu competition for the Bebezza baby formula. Da-rim's puppy dog eyes charm Ji-hyuk into participating, resulting in a kiss that, in our narrative, is a small victory.
After the competition, Ji-hyuk secretively bribes the winners for the formula, boasting to Da-rim and relishing her excited expression. However, Nan-sook's unexpected hospital call due to her sick son forces a reshuffle, leaving Da-rim and G-eun to handle the livestream.
G-eun's emotional monologue about her deceased husband, the trials of single motherhood, and the overwhelming support from Natural Bebe company is heart-wrenching. She steps aside, leaving Da-rim to demonstrate the superiority of Natural Bebe diapers. Unfortunately, due to Choon-gu's sabotage, the diaper leaks, and all blame falls on Da-rim. Choon-gu attempts to scold Da-rim, but Ji-hyuk defends her fiercely.
On her way home, Da-rim is abducted by loan sharks. Ji-hyuk chases after them, narrowly avoiding an accident but losing sight of the kidnappers. The abductors take Da-rim to an abandoned building, threatening to sell her organs if she doesn't pay them more money, fuming over her earlier report against them. As Da-rim pleads for her life, Ji-hyuk makes a dramatic entrance, flashing his black card and offering to buy her freedom.
