In the seventh episode of Dynamite Kiss, Seon-u's visit to Myeong-soon sets the stage for a heartwarming yet slightly comical scene. The other ladies, mistaking Myeong-soon's relationship with Seon-u's companion, praise him as her son-in-law. However, Myeong-soon gently corrects them, stating that he is more like a son to her. Meanwhile, our stressed protagonist silently watches over Da-rim, ensuring her well-being. As he assists in raising Da-rim's hospital bed, a moment of intimacy nearly blossoms between them, but a timely entry of a nurse disrupts the scene—the nurse's alarm at Da-rim's elevated blood pressure underscores the gravity of the situation. To calm his nerves, Ji-hyuk departs to fetch a drink, only to return to find Da-rim asleep again. He spends the entire night by her side, his dedication undeniable.
The next morning, Da-rim is touched by the sight of Ji-hyuk asleep while watching over her. She reaches out to touch his hand, hesitating at the last moment.
Elsewhere in the city, Ha-yeong's brother, Tae-young, returns to Seoul after a sojourn in America. Like his parents, he exudes an air of entitlement, bratty behavior, and egotism. He fires his driver for obeying his mother's orders instead of his own whims. We learn that Tae-young is temporarily in town and mostly resides in the US, where he is currently expanding the family business. Additionally, he is divorced, and his mother is eager to find him a new wife by throwing a grand welcome party.
On the other hand, Ha-yeong is making earnest efforts to win Seon-u over. She cooks him delicious food and visits his studio, trying to push him away but failing due to Jun's unwavering support. Nevertheless, Seon-u finds joy in watching her son with Ha-yeong.
Meanwhile, Chang-ho and the board of directors officially launch the NaturalBebe environmental project. Chang-ho finds MotherTF's team spirit endearing, while Ji-hyuk finds it amusing. During the tree planting event, Nan-sook brings her youngest son, Dae-song, who is not amused by MotherTF's success. In a bid to thwart their progress, Ji-hye orders Choong-gu to stay behind and gather evidence against Ji-hyuk and Da-rim.
Fortunately, Choong-gu's inattention falls upon him as he snoozes beneath a tree, escaping any incriminating evidence that might have emerged. The tree-planting event proves to be a resounding success, with Da-rim christening her tree in honor of her father, revealing to Ji-hyuk the profound influence he's had on her life. The team works together with diligence and good humor, frolicking and playing with Dae-song. Da-rim and Ji-hyuk's playful banter adds a touch of romance to the proceedings, though Choong-gu's ineptitude keeps him out of the tea-sipping fray.
Meanwhile, Tae-young visits Ji-hye's dog shelter, revealing a past relationship between the two that was ultimately cut short. Tae-young chose to marry someone else, fearing that Ji-hye's paternity scandal would tarnish his reputation. However, Chang-ho still compelled Ji-hye to attend the wedding. Now, Ji-hye is no longer the optimistic, soft-hearted woman of old; her ambitions have hardened her, and she yearns to take over the company. She sends Tae-young packing with little regard.
Back at the park, the team wraps up the event in high spirits, only to discover that Dae-song is missing. They fan out to search for the little boy, with Da-rim following a trail of toys until she stumbles upon a toy and falls into a valley, losing consciousness.
Meanwhile, Gyeong-min calls Ji-hyuk with good news about finding Dae-song, who had gotten distracted while chasing a squirrel. But he can't reach Da-rim. Upon hearing that she's missing, Ji-hyuk rushes to find her, eventually stumbling upon her passed out in the valley. As they struggle to regain their footing, the rain begins to fall, forcing them to take shelter in a cave. Gyeong-min tries to call again, but the call drops due to poor reception.
Worried by the situation, Gyeong-min turns to Seon-u, who is currently with Ha-yeong and Jun. Seon-u hurries off to assist in the search, entrusting Ha-yeong to keep an eye on his son in her absence.
As the heavy rain persists, the rescue team is forced to stand by, their mission temporarily stalled. Da-rim, in the interim, continues to share the profound impact her father's demise has had on her life. Ji-hyuk, in a misguided attempt at empathy, assumes she married early to fill the void left by her father's absence. Da-rim, without correcting his assumption, simply goes along with it, her heart heavy with unspoken truths.
Seon-u, anxious and impulsive, arrives at the park, disregarding the rescue team's advice. Grasping a torch, he ventures into the downpour in search of Da-rim. As darkness begins to settle in, Da-rim feels a chill creeping up her spine. In an effort to keep her warm, Ji-hyuk offers her his jacket and draws her close. Their rescue takes time, and Ji-hyuk succumbs to a fever, his mind beginning to wander in delirium. Da-rim, believing his illness to be her fault, tries to keep him conscious as she apologizes. Ji-hyuk, holding her tighter, confesses that he too is susceptible to the pull of emotions. It dawns on Da-rim that Ji-hyuk remembers her drunken confession from the previous night. As he is about to kiss her, Seon-u finds them, his presence interrupting their moment.
Ignoring Ji-hyuk's presence, Seon-u checks on Da-rim and leads her away by the arm. Surprisingly, Ji-hyuk grabs Da-rim and pulls her by his side. Seon-u is shocked by Ji-hyuk's actions and is about to speak up when the rescue team arrives. At Seon-u's house, Ha-yeong plays chess with Jun, using the opportunity to gather more information on Seon-u from his son. On the ride home, Seon-u suggests that Da-rim quit her job, admitting his concerns about her relationship with Ji-hyuk given the latter's actions at the park. Da-rim, however, comes to Ji-hyuk's defense, saying he was delirious from a fever and has no intention of relying on Seon-u financially.
Seon-u, filled with jealousy, points out that she has no problem relying on Ji-hyuk. On the other hand, Gyeong-min drives Ji-hyuk home. During the ride, Ji-hyuk can't stop thinking about what happened with Da-rim. The next day, Chang-ho visits In-ae at the hospital as a PR stunt to promote NaturalBebe's new products. In-ae overhears him coming and quickly hides. Chang-ho's security team tries to find her, but Myeong-soon helps her hide. Later, In-ae shares all about her tumultuous marriage with Myeong-soon, who is sympathetic and asks In-ae to consider her happiness for the sake of her son.
At the office, the MotherTF team excitedly receives their first payment. Da-rim decides to buy Ji-hyuk a gift to thank him and to pay the first instalment of her debt to him. She is flustered when Gyeong-min mentions that Ji-hyuk took a day off because he has a cold. In the evening, she persuades Gyeong-min to give her Ji-hyuk's address so she can deliver some food.
Meanwhile, Ji-hyuk has a nightmare where he confronts his father for having an affair. In the dream, his father turns to accuse him of the same. Suddenly, the man transforms from Chang-ho into a different version of himself. Ji-hyuk wakes up feeling guilty about his feelings for Da-rim. When Da-rim arrives at his house unannounced, Ji-hyuk rebukes her for her visit and questions why she would show up at his house given its potential for misunderstandings. Da
