In the sixth episode of Dynamite Kiss, Ha-yeong's confession of love to Seon-u takes a sudden turn as she impulsively kisses him, promising to win his heart despite his existing feelings for Da-rim. Meanwhile, Ji-hyuk intervenes to protect Da-rim from witnessing their embrace, leading to a stroll where he subtly hints at the advice he once gave her regarding love in Jeju. Unfortunately, Da-rim fails to comprehend his reference to her fake marriage.
Shortly after, Seon-u calls Da-rim, and they rejoin the group. That night, Ji-hyuk lies awake, tormented by the thought of how Seon-u's 'romantic entanglement' with Ha-yeong will affect Da-rim.
The next day at work, Ji-hyuk watches Da-rim with a mixture of emotions, struggling with whether to reveal Seon-u's affair. Unwittingly, he invites himself to lunch with her and the rest of the MotherTF team. During lunch, Jin-hee shares her dilemma after discovering her friend's husband's affair, and Ji-hyuk interjects with his insights on the precarious nature of such situations. Nan-sook advises Jin-hee to keep the affair a secret from her friend.
At the hospital, In-ae takes a walk and encounters Myeong-soon. Seeing In-ae's wrist cuts, Myeong-soon speaks out of turn in an attempt to comfort her, quickly apologizing but causing harm nonetheless.
Later that night, Da-rim brings home a test baby lotion for Seon-u and Kim-jun, realizing that parents often end up using similar products with their children. Seon-u volunteers to try it out, and Da-rim's reaction when she sniffs his hand causes him to stutter in embarrassment.
As Ha-yeong's parents reconsider their stance on her collaboration with Seon-u, overhearing that it was Ji-hyuk's idea, a charged atmosphere ensues. Meanwhile, Seon-u prepares to visit Da-rim's office to discuss the project's photos, dolling herself up in a manner that catches Ha-yeong's eye in the elevator. Ji-hyuk's imagination runs wild, envisioning a steamy encounter between the two in the confined space. His anxiety escalates further when he notices Seon-u's transformed appearance and scent, fearing the worst.
During the group meeting, his distraction is palpable as he tries to shield Da-rim from witnessing Ha-yeong's playful footsie with Seon-u. Matters take a turn for the worse when Ha-yeong corners Seon-u into another photoshoot, leaving together under a cloud of unspoken tension.
Da-rim's stomach churns with the stress of pretending to be married, and Ji-hyuk, under the guise of an allergy, procures abalone porridge from a restaurant while claiming their beef order was a mistake. He even serves the team ginger tea post-lunch, hoping it would soothe their stomachs. Later, confronting Ha-yeong, Ji-hyuk accuses her of being a homewrecker, offering marriage as a solution if she stops disrupting Da-rim's fake union. When Ha-yeong asks why he cares so much about Da-rim, he lies, claiming it's as her boss.
Ha-yeong is frustrated, her tongue tied by the weight of keeping Da-rim's and Seon-u's secret marriage a secret. As the competitive pitch nears, Da-rim returns the clover leaf Ji-hyuk had discarded, now laminated and served as a lucky charm. She wishes him well on his mission to honor his mother's legacy. Touched by her gesture, Ji-hyuk incorporates the clover into his presentation with a subtle nod, and the MotherTF team emerges victorious due to their emotional resonance and unique approach.
To celebrate their victory, Ji-hyuk treats the entire team to a gourmet dinner. Da-rim observes the meticulous care Ji-hyuk shows towards her, marveling at his attentiveness. As they engage in lively conversation, Jin-hee divulges that her friend's husband confessed his affair and requested a divorce. The group consensus is that the wife should not acquiesce, but Da-rim retorts that staying together without love is futile. She asserts that if her husband lost feelings for her, she would divorce him too.
However, her evening takes a turn as she becomes inebriated and finds herself alone with Ji-hyuk after the others have left. In her inebriated state, she confesses that she recognizes the thoughtfulness he shows towards her, believing it stems from a concern as her boss rather than genuine affection. She asks him to stop his kindness as it is swaying her heart and ends up falling asleep on his shoulders.
Meanwhile, Seon-u hustles to complete his photo shoot session with Ha-yeong, texting Da-rim an offer to pick her up but receiving a rejection. The next morning, she wakes up with no recollection of how she got home, assuming she took a taxi and informs Seon-u of this when he inquires.
It is only when she arrives at work and her colleagues start recounting the previous night's events that some of her memories start to trickle in. Throughout the day, random words trigger flashes of her actions. Suddenly, during a meeting, she recalls trying to kiss Ji-hyuk the previous night. The memory shocks her, and she excuses herself from the gathering.
On her way out, she collides with Ji-hyuk, flustered and asking him how she got home, lying that she blacked out and remembers nothing. To spare her embarrassment, Ji-huk lies that he also doesn't remember what happened. Da-rim is relieved and warns him to moderate his alcohol consumption. The irony of the situation!
On the other hand, Choong-gu shows Ji-hye a photo of Da-rim leaning on Ji-hyuk's shoulder outside the bar, suggesting they use it to imply an affair between them and create a scandal that would see Ji-hyuk ousted from the company. Convinced, Ji-hye asks Choong-gu to gather concrete evidence before proceeding with their plans.
In the evening, Da-rim pulls an all-nighter working on the press release for their project. Ji-hyuk offers to help and goes to fetch some samples of past newsletters. Upon returning, he finds her huddled in pain, pale as a ghost. Despite her refusal to burden him by taking her to the hospital, he reminds her of their contract and rushes her there for treatment, his concern evident in his actions despite the circumstances.
At the hospital, the doctor assures Ji-hyuk that Da-rim's condition was a result of overwhelming stress, and with proper treatment and rest, she will be just fine. As Da-rim lies unconscious, she misses numerous calls from Seon-u. Ji-hyuk, with a sudden resolve, intentionally switches off her phone, deciding in that moment that he wants to be the sole protector and steadfast presence in her life.
